“The pharmacy is OUTSTANDING!!!! Well staffed, well trained, friendly and quick! As a new customer with new insurance, I had a slew of questions. Each question was answered clearly and with respect. Plus, THEY offered a way for me to save money!!Overall, I found most items to be priced the same as typical grocery or discount department stores despite using a ton of plastic to bind two or more products together. I will likely not shop here.“

Kelli is in Texas for the summer and has been bummed out that she won’t have her favorite morning stop within reach until late August. Grace and fam worked their magic and sent a taste of VT Kelli’s way for Mother’s Day. Thank you guys soooooo much for making this happen! She just called me, screaming with excitement; safe to say you made her weekend!“

The building itself is a yuppie dream warehouse situation.Parking: Parking is tricky to get into because the access road right next to the coffeeshop is one way. Enter through the Howard center and there is another entrance in back.“

“4. Great cafe with a big menu for breakfast and lunch and lots of amazing looking baked goods. Friendly staff and big open space. The door kept being left open so it was really cold inside. My partner had the breakfast sandwhich which he said was really good but could have benefitted from bacon (not just bacon jam). I had the chickpea salad which was good but there were a number of wilted lettuce pieces which was kind of annoying. They make their chai in-house and it’s great. They only have one alternative milk (oat) and the only option for regular milk is whole milk. They use vegetable oil on their cooktop so not great if you have an allergy to soy.No vegan options in the baked goods section except for the bread which was yummy!Vegetarian options: Lots of options for vegetarians- not a ton if you’re vegan!“

Not only is this my favorite bagel restaurant in Vermont but the music makes me feel like I'm inside of some bagel club and I'm in love with it. Today was a Laryn Hill playlist. Never change. “I had an apple muffin the other day that I LOVED. tbh I think it should be called a cupcake since it was an apple spice cake experience in small form but it was really delicious. I love that they have flavored vegan cream cheese. I'm not the biggest fan of their bagels--they're kind of bready, not very traditional bagel-ish. I also want to warn that the past 2 times I've ordered bulk bagels, I've received a cheese bagel in the pack. They used to have something on the website that said they only put vegan bagels in bulk orders, maybe they deleted that? But FYI!“

Belleville Bakery Bakery •
217 College St, Burlington - 5.58 miles

“Alert: there will be a healthy dash of food snobbery in this review :)While the bakery is perfectly better-than-decent (and the location and inside atmosphere great), I was left with the feeling that it could have done much to up their game. Possibly this is mainly considering that it is considered a French styled bakery and one's expectations might be unrealistically inflated. While the offerings (sandwiches, quiches, pastries, cookies, breads, etc) are perfectly fine, they seem very much entrenched in American bakery mode more than French-style. By that I mean that the cookies are thick and heavy and chewey, more for college boys and lumberjacks than anything flaky, light and delicate that would grace any 'rue' in Frnace :)The sandwhich bread similarly feels thick and doughy like more typical American fare than anything thinner and something that won't be visible around the midriff the next day. And the sandwiches are fine but for their price and size feel like even just one added creative ingredient would elevate them from the everyday/everywhere category to something with some more style and uniqueness and semblence of pseudo-French (red wine jelly, dijon mustard, lavender mustard, truffle aioli, red onion jelly, a French cheese...).Belleville leaves the impression of aiming to cater to everyone without alienating anyone by seeming too fancy (like Chef's Corner might to some, but even there it's not exactly French-style). And in doing so relegates itself in some middlezone that's fine but leaving a feeling of, oh it could be so much more! That said, no single review should ever be assumed to encompass the entirety of a place, and their menu changes constantly, so on any given day the experience might differ.“
