My review is related to Royal Orchid restaurant's flawed POS (point of service) software. You CAN NOT successfully order from Royal Orchid's website if your credit card has a PO Box billing address - even if the credit card's "PO Box address" has been used successfully in every online ordering venue for the past twenty years. They need to contact their website manager or their POS software company, specifically smilepos.com to correct this annoying problem.

Would buy from here once a week ($400 monthly average) , then it became monthly (around $100 average) because they keep sabotaging orders?! Tonight they made no spice in to EXTRA spicy so food can not be eaten. Are they trying to go bankrupt?? That's fine Randolph is only 5 extra minutes for us.

Have eaten there for years and have never had a problem . Great food great service and wonderful atmosphere . Don't live in town anymore but try to go when I can . Nothing around is better than them . Can't beat authentic food .Vegetarian options: Can opt to have vegetarian and can pick what is in the dish .

Consistently great food over the years. One of those spots that brings back childhood memories. Pad Thai is a 10/10.

We visited Royal Orchid Restaurant in Montpelier last evening. Although we were disappointed that take-out was our only option, we weren’t disappointed with the food! It was prepared fairly quickly, although it would be best to order online. That way you’ll know exactly when to pickup & won’t be waiting around. The 2 dishes we tried were delicious, plentiful & a good price. We ordered an eggplant salad & lemongrass chicken & we loved the food! I highly recommend this little place tucked away on a side street.

Got four lunches and some apps to go - everything was fresh and delicious even after a 35 min ride in containers. Fast service, very nice and included extra sauce. Great food!

Most go if passing through or resident local!! I have been going to the Royal Orchid for over 12 years. Ever since I was teen, this has got to still be my absolute favorite Thia food. I their tofu is cooked to perfection every time, when I find myself home I always make sure to come here. The pad-kee-mao is my go to dish!! If you like spice make sure to tell them you like spicy. They tend to go light on spicy level due to just because most Vermonters don't eat very much spicy food.

I usually just get the Pad Thai and various appetizers, but it is the best Pad Thai in town! There was one time where they added shrimp when I ordered chicken, hence the 4 stars. If you ask for added spice, be prepared for a spicy dish! I enjoy it sometimes but even without there is still plenty of flavor.

I've been coming here for years. Some of the best pad thai ever. But they are going downhill. I ordered my usual, Pad Thai and Chicken Satae (chicken skewers). The chicken on the skewers was about half the usual amount, some of them only 2 inches long when they should be 4 to 5 inches. And there were only a few pieces of meat in my Pad Thai. I'm horribly disappointed at the blatant lack of protein in my meal that I had paid for. When I called and asked what was up with the lack of protein, I got an excuse saying "sometimes it comes out differently." This is unacceptable for a business that has been the only good Thai food in Montpelier for so long. It's my hope that the business owners take this review seriously and talk to the cooks and make sure they stop skimping on the protein, or they will be losing customers.
