“Dining at The Copper Fox was like stepping into a charming conundrum wrapped in a paperclip riddle. Let’s cut right to the chase: the kitchen could test the patience of a saint. Over an hour for a simple order? One might start to ponder the existential questions of life with would you rather as the hunger slowly gnaws at the gut.But once the food hit the table, it was clear that someone back there knows their craft. The prices? They’ll nick your wallet for sure, but you get what you pay for here: robust portions that bring a punch of flavor, enough to satisfy even the most zealous food lover. The dishes were prepared with a keen eye for detail and a deft hand, echoing a pricey yet palatable experience. The service? Swell enough, but the charm of the staff could use a little boost with more frequent check-ins. It’s a delicate dance between neglect and intrusion, and while our server steered clear of hovering, a little more presence would have been welcomed. The real showstopper? The dirty potato. It’s an indulgent masterpiece, cheesy and bold. Just don’t arrive hungry or an altered state that sharpens your appetite, because the wait could just about kill the joy of anticipation. So, if you find yourself wandering through town, pull up a chair at The Copper Fox. But maybe snack on something first, lest you outpace your patience before the first course even lands.Vegetarian options: Tons of optionsDietary restrictions: Kitchen was open to swap out to accommodate a Vegan diet and a number dish’s perfect”

“Sweet little place. Not a lot of seating. So if there have the table and chairs you need to stand and wait. Only let that diter you if you want to sit and eat. Otherwise is a great little tale out spot. The food is wonderful.”

“Absolutely love going to The Station! We don't get to go very often as we are restaurant owners ourselves. We own a cafe that is rated nearly five stars across the board. These folks hit it out of the park, better than anywhere else around! Jon, Stacy & crew do such a great job, The food is always fresh and absolutely delicious! Be sure to try their bruschetta, mussels, and smash burgers! Don't forget about their housemade pasta as well!!!The wings we've had there are also to die for! What can I say, everything is fantastic and there's nothing on the menu we wouldn't recommend!Thank you guys for the excellent service, amazing food, and a truly welcoming atmosphere! This is our go-to spot, When we actually get the chance to get away!”

“This was an awesome find after skiing at Killington! Small, quaint, cozy, and welcoming - everything you'd want in a pub atmosphere. We had the haggis taster, scotch egg along with our sandwiches. Definitely try the haggis if you've never had it. It's absolutely delicious. If you're not as adventurous, the scotch eggs are also fabulous. Loved the Scottish stout too.We were here for lunch, but we'll definitely grab dinner here next time to get the full experience.”

“The only reason I'm giving 4 stars, NO VEGAN OPTIONS AT ALL! I know in my area in which I live its not as common but even dunkin has something. With that said the meals my friends had looked great! And the service was amazing, great view of the river.”

“You might drive past this place, as the outside doesn't really exude curb appeal...but that would be a mistake.Inside you'll find a warm welcome from people who know their comfort food inside out, and genuinely want you to enjoy your food. I only had breakfast, which was delivered fast and fresh, with hot coffee, but I'll be back for lunch or dinner, next time I'm in the area.”

“We found this diner by chance, now this is our favorite diner! Now, we go out off our way to eat there, it is well worth it. All the waitresses are busy, but they are very friendly and helpful giving us advice of places to visit. There are few diners to pick from. The food is very tasty and they have a good selection. We can't wait to go back to Vermont.”

“The PEOPLE are what make this place. Kind, attentive and always smiling and joking! It is a little run down with patches on some of the seats and could use a bit of upkeep. However, that can be viewed as part of the vibe - relaxed, comfortable, homey. I always enjoy their quesadillas and margaritas!! And Shirley, Robin and the staff are all awesome!”
“Absolute favorite place to stop to eat when we visit Okemo. Everything is homemade and delicious. We haven't had bad meal here in years. Don't skip the molasses cookies!”

“This restaurant is very consistent with their food and service. Lunch special is a good option if you're in a hurry. My favorite dish is the Crispy Chicken Salad, if I had to find fault with anything it would be that they could do better with adding more toppings to their pies.”
“Impressive three-man operation, Great to see some old-school hands-on craft brewing - and on equipment with some Vermont brewing history to boot. Super friendly too!”
“A wonderful little spot with good serving sizes and gluten-free options. It's in a large parking lot, so not much scenery to stroll as you eat, but otherwise a perfectly lovely little place.”

“Such a friendly atmosphere from the moment you walk in. This restaurant had to go thru a lot to be open for ski season. Ludlow had a devastating mud flood in June that brought six feet of water and mud to the area. The bartender is the bomb!!! She makes all the cocktail syrups from locally harvested fruits. No sugars or additives. Amazing. Tonight's special was a strawberry martini that looked amazing. I had a Manhattan that delivered a warm glow on a chilly evening. I had the eggplant parm which was cut thickly and lightly fried. Amen to that. Most places deep fry thin cuts of eggplant so it has no taste or texture. They prepared it with a béchamel sauce and a tomato sauce. Tasty and satisfying. My partner had a burger and fries that he enjoyed. Thank you for the tasty cocktails, warm food and inviting atmosphere.”

“Was just passing through on my way to Mt. Ascutney. Real diner! Great food, hot coffee, and good prices. Staff can be a little moody, but that is fine by me! The train car is a "must see".”

“This was one of the best subway experience we have encountered for awhile! We went into the store at the almost closing time and an older gentleman with glasses at the counter didn't mind at all. He welcomed us with a smile and an incredible attitude. He kept the station very clean. It was spotless! If you ever stop by, please make sure you try their raspberry cheesecake cookies! It was delicious.”
“It's a counter version of the Pizza franchise, so the seating accommodations are a little sparse; however, the pizza is just as incredible andcsuper FAST!!! I had no idea they were there in the gas-mart.”

“During our two week trip to New England we took a last minute side trip to Vermont and stayed at the Castle Hill Inn Resort & Spa and ate at its fine dining restaurant on a Tuesday night. We chose to eat in the elegant original dining room overlooking the back gardens. It was very romantic. The wine selection was delightfully more varied than what we had been experiencing in the region and the food and service were top notch. Sadly, because of the recent flooding, what used to be its second busiest season after skiing, now is awfully quiet. People are staying away from the area and we were only one of five couples to be eating there that night.”
“Amazing wedding venue. Be sure to tour the telescope, too. The rooms are comfortable, but really it is the openness of the spaces and the sense of opulence of a bygone era that make it stand out.”

“Absolutely wonderful diner! Good diner food for a good price. Service was fantastic, very much a family/neighborhood feel. Decor was very cute, very modern farmhouse meets diner. Loved our experience there, next time we're up to visit we will definitely be making another stop or 2!Kid-friendliness: Accessible breakfast items for kids and a kids menu. Owner/manager was very inviting and friendly to our big group with 3 kids.”
