Well I go here all the time. And every time it’s good. But the last couple of times food was terrible. And this time I asked for scrambled with cheddar cheese, but got over easy and I can’t have and don’t like my yoke in the biscuits and gravy so the cook that made my meal came over to me and said next time tell me to do scrambled with cheese and I’m like what? Talking back to a costumer. Wow. I’m out of my gore. Shamfulness on them for treating a costumer who goes there almost every day that spends 25 dollars or more on food there at speakeasy cafe. Unbelievable

Excellent coffees and lovely personnel. But most importantly for me: I am a New Yorker who has had a lifetime of many, many really good bagel & lox sandwiches. Nothing in my memory can compare to the bagel & lox sandwich I had here. Excellent bagels, generous portions of sumptuously flavorful, tenderly soft lox, really creamy cream cheese, capers, and onions. The best. My only problem is that I don't live next door. If you do or you're anywhere this place, you better go in!

This is the place!!! My friends and I have been here 3 times in the past 2 days. I planned on writing a review already but my boyfriend also insisted I write one. He is a food snob to the max, respectfully, so you know it’s good. He raved about the food and the coffee here. They have vegan options which is always a plus and good latte flavors. The biscuits are to die for. This place is just too cute and everyone is so nice! All I have to say is, this place is the definition of BUSSIN.Dietary restrictions: They had different milk options, vegan and gluten free options as well.Parking: I was here in the winter so I did not have a problem at all finding street parking! I cannot say for the warmer months though.

LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!My FAVORITE coffee shop. I go with my Aunt and cousins ALL the time. It is our favorite spot to hang out.The new location is gorgeous and the new staff are great.im glad they were able to hire more people as they are expanding and gaining a lot of traction in town.I'm so happy to have this coffee shop in my hometown!

Stopped in while visiting Rutland for the day with my niece looking for a cup of hot chocolate on a very cold, day-after-Thanksgiving day. No line, a couple of tables full with guests. At the counter, three very distracted employees, less than thrilled I had arrived and at my request, our cashier stating that our order could not be served in mugs since they were closing in 15 min and gave us paper - ok, fine, no biggie. Ten minutes later, a VERY loud female voice shouts from the rear that the cafe would be closing in 5 minutes, leaving us not only startled by the volume of her voice, but again feeling less than welcome patronizing their business. When this happened again, just minutes later, we up and left - sure to never return again. This is an annual trip for us and we'll be sure to find hot drinks on a cold day elsewhere - seeing the attitudes inside this cafe were even colder than Vermont on a late November day. I've worked in the service industry my entire career and there are far better ways to let a small room of guests in a coffee shop know that it's time to go. Yikes!

I like to stray off the obvious path. Sometimes you find a diamond in the rough, and sometimes you get burned. Unfortunately, my experience at this place was the latter... quite literally. Burnt coffee (both an iced and hot cup), a bagel that tasted like it was a week old, and rude unfriendly service. Apparently you can't get a bagel toasted after 2p? Sorry for the imposition. Yeah, not planning on returning.
