This place has excellent sushi! I got the Matterhorn roll and it was one of the best rolls of sushi that I have ever had.It's super close to Stowe ski resort, so it's a great place to go after a day of skiing, but it can get pretty packed, so you may want to make reservations.Service was great and the place had a really laid back, ski lodge vibe to it, which I really liked. Would recommend!

We managed to get a reservation here the night before the eclipse. All of VT, including Stowe, was PACKED! -- including The Matterhorn. The hostess and the waitresses were very gracious and friendly under a lot of pressure, with a lot of very loud & drunk people in the bar area. I was very impressed by how pleasant and helpful they were on a night that must've been really stressful.

Went to Matterhorn redtaurant up in Stowe, Vt for a dinner meal and it was delish ! Funny name to be serving sushi but but got excellent reviews and the pizza was also excellent ! Service was truly wonderful ! Will be back !
Atmosphere was cool, fries and pizza were good (got The Matterhorn), and the staff was polite and timely, even only a few hours after the eclipse. They offered no sushi, however, possibly due to the traffic caused by the eclipse. Overall, we enjoyed it

We came to the Matterhorn after skiing today. I've been wanting to go there for months because I had seen pictures of the wonderful Riverview from the windows and we were lucky enough to get there early and get a seat by the window. When my friends asked for hot tea, the waitress informed us that they do not carry any hot drinks. We are not " that kind of place" . We don't serve coffee and tea. We serve alcohol was the sentiment. We did not want to order alcohol but we did order full dinners and an appetizer. The brussel sprouts were amazing! Our server brought us hot water with lime which was delicious! The food was good and we enjoyed our table by the river and fireplace. When we were ready to pay, we were told that they could not split the bill among two separate credit cards. Since when does a restaurant not split the bill up anymore? Doesn't everyone do that these days? I found this disappointing. Now, I owe my friend money the next time I see him. All in all, it was a good experience with a few disappointments but I would, definitely, go back.

So to be honest me and my buddies read reviews before coming here which clearly were not so hot ... but wanted to see for ourselves and wow we just feel the reviews were better than what it deserves... DONT be fooled when you walk into a nice cozy bar with fire places and nice view of woods and river. First off to get the attention to be seated when we were the only ones waiting to get a seated took 15 minutes. Once seated getting drinks first round wasn't bad we order quickly but after food was order we were never checked up on again and we were craving a few more rounds. We got the food which the pizza was topped nicely and looked great that changed after picking it up and realizing the bottom or the pie was as flimsy and need another 5minutes.. as I stated to my buddies this is "bowling alley" pizza at best. The wings were not bad but there is better (docs, rimrocks for sure)... after waiting 20 for trying to get more beers we left. To try to get our bill and pay I had to run down bartenders... stay away much better places.

Would never recommend this to anyone. Well not anymore. I came by months ago on a trip with my family and was treated super well and had a truly decent meal. The building itself self is way outdated but the lady who took care of our table was super nice and helpful. We had one member of our party with a food allergy and the kitchen manager met with us and asked about the allergies my friend has which is quite a bit of a struggle most times we go out. He went over food options that he could do and ensured us that there'd be no cross contamination. Food came out in a timely manner and my friend loved the food. But this time it was unbearable we were there this last Friday. No kitchen manager in sight or any type of leadership in the kitchen I even saw people vaping in the kitchen and by the pizza oven. Everyone looked like they were truly struggling and wasn't even that busy. Food took way too long for what we ordered. Burgers came to us way over cooked. Pizza was burnt and drinks that we got were basically undrinkable. There seems to be a loss of leadership and management here and it's gone from a 5 star experience to regretting coming back.

Wings and blue cheese were some of the best I've ever had. Unfortunately, service was basically non existent and friends burgers were not great. I went with the poke which was delicious, however. Unfortunately service was just that poor that I had to go with a 3 star.
We only got beers here because the service was so poor. We would have loved to eat here, and maybe I would change my rating if we had. But we were barely able to get beers and left soon after. The atmosphere was great and the food looked excellent, but they are understaffed and need some major help.
