The Boathouse is a local favorite. I have trouble getting beyond their Crabcake sandwich. It is fabulous.

A few of us stopped in after a day of hiking. We landed here because of road closures due to a windstorm on the other side of the peninsula. After ordering food and drink, we watched the crazy weather and watched porpoises play in the water. Lights flickered, and about 15 minutes later, the lights went out. We were enjoying the phone ringing off the hook, imagining the callers asking of they had power. We were waiting to see if we were going to get our food and several minutes later, our food was delivered and we were told we were the lucky ones! Last ones to get our food. Appreciated the staff and patrons remaining calm and flexible.

We got the seafood linguine and the tiger prawns. Overall, everything but the clam chowder lacked flavor. There were bits of overcooked fish in the linguine and the sauce was bland. I could tell that the rice that came with the shrimp had been sitting in the pot for several hours… over cooked and crunchy. The service was good and the clam chowder was the best thing we had in the menu.

A nice, casual place right by the water. Indoor and outdoor seating with a significant portion of the establishment devoted to the bar. People providing table service were friendly and efficient but not hovering. I've only been here a few times, but the fish and chips have been very good...tasty with generous portions.

The food was really good. The fish and chips was excellent! The pulled pork sandwich was also on point. The salad was not the best with berries and sunflower seeds on it.If you want good service don’t get Lindsay.1st we asked for straws she never brought them we had to ask another waitress.2nd brought our food and never came back at all. Never refilled drinks…NOTHING3rd she went to the bar to get us change for a 100.00 and as I was on the way out I counted it and she had shorted us 20 dollars and when I went to find her they were whining about the 2.00 tip she got and quite frankly she didn’t deserve that.Good atmosphere, fantastic view and good food.

Just wanted to post a review on here, me and my family have been here 3 times the past 3 years, this review is aimed more specifically at the most recent visit.I had tried to reserve a table on valentine’s day, wanted to take my wife and kids, I got a response via email that they were full. Silly of me to think I should’ve reserved a few days before not the day of, I was emailing back and forth with Gail ultimately about the time I planned to come in and what a bummer it was to not have any openings.I gave them my number and asked if anything changes please reach out to me, I received a text message 30min before I planned on going to come in for the reservation. I was excited and me and my family went in and had a great dinner. My wife loved the seafood fettuccine, I had the usual halibut & chips, and my son had the hot mama burger, I will definitely come in more this year and explore the menu options, if you’re looking for an intimate dinner night, a family dinner or just by yourself, this place is a great option. The summer time here has outdoor seating and enjoy staring out at north case inlet.10/10 would recommend.Parking: Out front can get packed, but right across the street there is a gravel lot to park, it is not hard to access and the walk is little as 1 minute.Kid-friendliness: Yes, my kids were welcome.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes

Wow we made a pit stop here and the mahi mahi tacos was delicious as well as fish and chips. The views alone are worth it. Will be back in the warmer weather to sit

We were visiting family in the area right before Christmas, and had dinner at the Boat House. At the conclusion of dinner the server gave us scratch tickets to use on a future visit. Not being from the area, we threw the ticket in the glove box, figuring we wouldn't be back. Food and service at that visit was satisfactory. Fast forward, we end up visiting family again last weekend (Feb. 3-4). My father suggested dinner at the Boat House again. When we get there we remembered the scratch ticket and bring it with us. Note that it clearly states on the ticket that it's good thru Feb. 4. So as we're placing the order I showed the ticket to the waiter and said we'd want to use it. He stated, "oh, those were only good in January ". When I pointed out that the date was thru Feb. 4th, he took a look at the ticket and said that it was scratched and thus not valid. I'm including a picture of the scratch on the ticket and you can see that it in no way reveals what the "prize" is. Being as I was with family including elderly parents I let it go. Not that there was any great value of the prizes (although apparently one was a weekly free lunch for a year), but the principal of the matter is that they should have honored the ticket. Bad business in my opinion. I know we won't be coming back.

This is one of the few places in Mason County where you can sit on the water and enjoy a great meal. The fish tacos were incredible!
