Hidden gem tucked away, unmarked inside the lobby of Medallion Hotel. Chinese food with lighter and fresher flavors than traditional American Chinese restaurants around. We ordered other family style and combination dishes, and had so much food! Hot and sour soup was unique in that you could really taste the tang of the sour, wasn't spicy hot but was loaded with bamboo, tofu, egg, and mushrooms. The veggies egg rolls were standard, the sweet and sour dipping sauce was thin, and wasn't gelatinous like most are. The ma po tofu was really good, silken tofu with chunks of ginger, chili spices, topped with green onion. Not spicy and everyone loved it. The bok choy and garlic was perfectly sautéed, a little salty but fresh bok choy. The spicy beef noodle soup was like a ramen and a huge bowl, not really spicy either. The orange chicken and general tao chicken were not heavily breaded, and good light flavor.Service was just fine, fast and polite! We were the only table in the place with a sprinkle of to go order pick-ups. I hope this spot gets more business and visibility!Parking: Shared parking lot as the hotel, walk into main lobby.

What an exciting find. If you like Chinese food, particularly some of the more unique and adventuresome dishes here is an unexpected place to visit. I enjoyed a big bowl of Pickled cabbage and pork noodles. It was just the thing on a dreary day. Dont be afraid to ask if something on the menu is not translated so you understand. The have a Chefs Choice selection and several numbing (peppercorn) dishes. There are also plenty of standard offerings, particularly at lunchtime.Someone gave this place a 1 star because they did not serve crackers with the soup. If this is your expectation, you are in the wrong place.I'm looking forward to supporting this unexpected discovery

Sweet n sour chicken:sauce was served on side and refrigerator cold and chicken was almost jerkey bites onion and green peper cold.Would not recommend fried food . General Toas: owas crunchy and dry. The sauce was fair. Egg flower soup was water with egg and few pieces of corn which tasted weird. I had to spit it out. Bbq pork was okay generous portion. Chicken broccoli was edible. Served soup after meal had come. We were a table of 3 all meals were served one at a time not together. People were nice but did have to wave service just to get noticed that we wanted seated.Parking: The restaurant is in the hotel.

Excelent food! Many options. We dined in and they had a seperate menu with dinner combos. We had the orange chicken which was well made and tried the beef with hot garlic sauce that was recommended by another reviewer which was absolutely amazing! Im not sure what some menu items are and the translations are sometimes funny, but i bet its all good.

After living in China for a short period, nothing in Washington seems to come close. This place was great! Best I’ve had here so far.(and I’m a very picky food snob) must go here.

My grandparents love this restaurant. They immigrated from China in the 1970s. We eat a lot of American-style Chinese food, but it’s been a challenge to find authentic Chinese food. The mapo tofu we ordered was perfectly seasoned and had a nice tangy kick. Unlike most chicken soups in the U.S., where the chicken is overcooked and stringy, the chicken in the chicken corn soup was tender and juicy. I’m not normally a big pork fan, but the braised pork with bamboo shoots was also tender and perfectly seasoned, and the sauce was phenomenal. Don’t forget to order sesame balls for dessert. You can tell they are handmade. The sesame balls were fresh out of the fryer. The glutinous rice flour in them was so soft! They were divine.People are complaining about the price—for one thing, it’s in the normal price range for Greater Seattle Area restaurants. If you want cheap food, get off your butt, go to the grocery store and cook for yourself. Also, keep in mind that this is not an American Chinese restaurant; this is an AUTHENTIC Chinese restaurant. They are using more expensive ingredients that are harder to find. If you are looking for expertly cooked, perfectly seasoned Chinese food, this is the only place you’ll find it for miles. Also thank you to the server. She was so kind to my grandparents, me, and my mom.

The food here is really good. They are getting off their feet, and working very hard. I'm sure they will do well when word gets around.

While the prices at Taste of China may be a bit steep and the portions on the smaller side, their orange chicken and pork fried rice were absolutely exceptional! If you’re looking for great flavors, their dishes certainly hit the mark. Just be mindful of the portion sizes relative to the price
