I used to love this place. Visited after two years. All appetizers I ordered had microwaved or heated vibe. Ravioli was soggy, flatbread was not crisp or fresh. It had waited maybe hours. And hallum cheese was a disgrace. Don’t know if it is owner change, bad short staffed day or just the new usual. Both my wife and I regretted to spend our dinner budget here.

Came here for dinner recently with a friend and had a great time! Our waitress was very friendly and patient (took us awhile to figure out what to order). The food was good, a little pricy b/c the portions are tiny but that’s kind of normal now. About $180 for two of us to dine out, we split 4 things and had 2 glasses of wine. All the food was great but small portions for the same price as other places with much larger portions. Scallops were the smallest I’ve ever seen in my life LOL but delicious! The Asian fried chicken bites were kinda dry and meh but the sauce that came with them was bomb.

I went to a restaurant and didn’t like it much. The plates were dirty, which was gross.Secondly, the prices were steep, not matching the quality or service provided. Additionally, the cocktail I ordered was so watered down it barely had any flavor.

I had a decent smoked cocktail here. Nice atmosphere. Good for a drink, a bite, and a conversation.

Heard good reviews and after reading their menu, I was excited to visit. Easy to make a reservation the day of.Waited several minutes to be greeted and seated by an uninterested person who did not deal in friendly, let alone smile or welcome us. Once seated, the wait for a server wasn’t too long. However, they weren’t interested in us, either. My cocktail came out immediately, followed within seconds by my entree. My friend’s entree came 10 minutes later and their beer, ordered at the same time as my cocktail, took almost 20 minutes to receive. Awkward to have my entree and drink while he had nothing for so long. Then to have his entree and still no beer for another 10 minutes. The server never came back to check on us, until our dishes were stacked up and coats were on. Food was good, atmosphere was comfortable and upscale, but the service was so very disappointing. Unapologetically unfriendly and uninterested.

Had high expectations, and this place has been in my to-go list for a few months. When I checked online, the menu looked quite interesting (vegetarian). They’ve got a mix of various cuisines which was great. When we finally visited, the first thing that bothered me was that there was no one to assign a table for us even after waiting for 10mins. Not to forget, we had a reservation. Then I walked up to the bar to find someone to direct me. Anyways, after all the waiting and slow service we enjoyed the food (which was not as great as we expected). The ambience was good though!

I wanted to really like this place because one, its 21+ and I saw they had escargots. I will say it was pretty across our group that we would have to find somewhere else to eat… a 2nd dinner at another location.Parking: Not sure as we parked in Lincoln Square and walked over.Pet friendly: NoFamily friendly: No, 21+FOOD:- Burgundy escargots (classic style, butter, garlic, parsley, French bread) $21: 2 Star – I love escargot but if I ever come back I will not be ordering this again. The first piece I had tasted so off, like if you had bad fish… My husband has a piece and he said it tasted completely fine. I had my 2nd piece it was pretty good. My 3rd piece had that weird off taste again. I feel like they got their snail from a can and it was either two different can or they have to find a new supplier. I was honestly worried the rest of the night if I’d get food poisoning… AND their bread wasn’t grilled… I know of all things but yea that’s a minus.- Prosciutto & Besciamella, Mozzarella & parmesan $16.5: 3 Star: I love carbs especially when it comes with cheese on top. This was okay only because the prosiutto was so salty. I understand prosciutto is cured but there wasn’t a good balance of the prosciutto and parmesan with everything else.DRINKS:- Efeste “Final Final” Blend Red Wine 2019, WA $68: 5 Stars - Of all the things our group ordered this bottle of red was the best thing there. Nice body, great taste, and easy to drink ?MENU/RESTAURANT:Viewing the menu online, this place sounded like it was going to be so good… though not great for vegetarian/vegan entrée options. The restaurant is in downtown Bellevue and only a block or so away from the mall/Lincoln sq buildings that I’ve actually haven’t been here before. It’s a nice restaurant and not what I would assume from the exterior. Lighting is very dim so not the greatest when trying to food photos LOLSERVICE:Staff was friendly but we didn’t have a lot of interaction as the restaurant was packed.

Feb. 22 was the first time that I dined at the Black Bottle. I found the food to be mediocre, the servers apron was filthy and the greeter did not engage with us at all. He basically took us to our table left the menus without saying a word.

Unfortunately, we should have paid more attention to the health inspector rating on the door. The atmosphere and service was good, but the food resulted in a bad case of food poisoning. I had the pesto flatbread, which I would have thought was safe.

This is a cute place with super friendly and welcoming staff. The food is nothing fancy ( it is a gastro pub after all!) but a nice selection of quick bites to go with the drinks. Some of the dishes were a bit overpriced but most are reasonable.

As a frequent patron of Black Bottle in Bellevue, it's with regret that I write this review. Having always considered it a neighborhood gem, our recent visit after a few months was nothing short of a letdown. It felt as if the establishment had undergone a significant change, possibly with a new chef or management. The culinary execution, once a reason for our regular visits, was abysmal. Dishes that used to be favorites seemed overcooked, lacking in flavor, and generally uninspired. A prime example was the duck, which was an utter disappointment. It appeared to have been boiled, resulting in soggy, unappetizing skin – a far cry from the crispy delight we remembered. We felt compelled to send it back, something we rarely do.Additionally, the mezze plate and shishito peppers, which used to be tantalizing starters, were so substandard that we left them largely untouched despite our hunger. The lack of seasoning and overall preparation quality suggested a serious decline in kitchen standards.Service, too, seemed to have taken a hit, contributing to an overall unsatisfactory dining experience. It's with a heavy heart that we've decided not to return to Black Bottle. It's unfortunate to see such a beloved local spot lose its charm and quality.

Black bottle was a new spot that four other friends and I wanted to try out together. I will be saying that the food itself was between three - four stars. Unfortunately, the interaction with the staff was more so around one to two stars and for that reason, I will not be returning to this restaurant anytime soon.I will say that the ambience and environment was however a five star in my book! (Despite them declining our request to sit near the fire.A few constructive critiques that I have, if the staff and managers want to improve upon:-online the menu for happy hour drinks is listed, and if you scroll further down the website, they have something called late night, snacks, and platters — this to me gives the illusion that these are also “happy hour specials”-most restaurants still let their customers finish up their dinner. However, we noticed that the closing time for this restaurant was 11 PM, as we were seated, finishing up our meal, they began to dim the lights wait a few moments, then raise the lights, and at 11 o’clock sharp somebody from the staff said thank you for joining us everyone please exit essentially… this was unexpected and did not leave us really feeling warmly welcomed.-while the food was pretty good, I was a little bit sad to hear that some of the drinks on their happy hour menu were no longer available because they had run out.I do think it’s worth mentioning that our experience with the staff was a little bit mixed, because I do think that the waiter and server Bryce who ended up taking care of our table, did an exceptional job, and was friendly and pleasant to work with.

Cute place, but insanely rude to folks with service animal. I’ll steer far away from the Eastside if it’s filled with establishments like this.

A friend and mine were in Bellevue for a business meeting from Savannah and Charleston, two places known for great food and drinks, and were looking for a place to have a drink after dinner. The reviews for Black Bottle mentioned craft cocktails so we walked down from our hotel and were fortunate to be one of only a few people at the bar. The bartender (Nick I think) was amazing and took a few minutes to chat with us on what we might like and then made us some exceptional cocktails. My friend had never had a Pisco Sour before but after trying Nick's perfected version of one fell in love with it. One turned in to 3 different very special cocktails (1 a surprise he made for us) and we had an outstanding experience at the bar. The atmosphere is open and lively which is always what I'm looking for. Highly recommended. I wanted to have dinner here but got outvoted by my colleagues earlier in the night for another spot. On my next trip out can't wait to dine here also if the food is as good as the drinks.
