RIP! This place suffered some terrible injustices and bad luck and had to close this year. They were burglarized and vandalized, and I believe that contributed to their decision. So sad because they made some delicious food!

In case you didn't already know, today is the last day of business for Hapa Food. The Woodinville location closed about 2 weeks ago. Their social media said they are closing down due to inflation and labor shortage. Very unfortunate. I usually go to Woodinville Hapa, but since they are closed, I made a trip to the Bellevue Hapa to support them one last time. The Food: #1 Kalbi & Kalua, $15.99 - 4 Stars Menu: Kalbi beef ribs and kalua pig. Served with ahi tuna poke, mac salad, kimchi, and rice #2 Garlic Shrimp, $14.99 - 4 Stars Menu: North shore style garlic shrimp served with mac salad and rice Both dishes are old reliable go-to's by now. The Kalbi & Kalua are very good this time. He wasn't going to sell me the Garlic Shrimp because they couldn't get the right kind of shrimp, something about smaller, not easy to peel. What are they going to do with their shrimp? It's their last day of business, what a waste it would be. I told them to make it anyway. They're smaller and tasted fine enough. So long Hapa. Hope to see you again sometime.

When we arrived, the food truck was closed, so I called and they were running late. We waited in the parking lot of a recreational swimming facility for about 20 minutes. Once they opened, we ordered the combo plate: kalua pig and kalbi ribs that was served with a very small portion of ahi poke, a small portion of macaroni salad, and a very small portion of kimchi. The Kailua pig was flavorful and the kalbi ribs were okay; they were very fatty. The macaroni salad and ahi poke were under seasoned. They have a couple of outdoor tables for customers. Staff was friendly and doing his best to make the best of working alone.

This place legitimately deserves five stars!!!!! It is amazing! I had the garlic shrimp and a donut. The donut was fresh and fried right there! So amazing! Great customer service and has picnic tables to eat at. I highly recommend this place!

Good portions and loved everything - even the kimchi. The ahi poke rivals any and all other poke places in town, and we’ve tried many. Mac salad was also my favorite. Will be back for sure.

My daughter & grandson wanted to try the Philly cheesesteak sandwich....it was excellent. We will be back.

I was happy to find out there was a place nearby where I could get Hawaiian food. However, the excitement ended with some disappointment. I got the #1 combo entree, and everything in that combo meal was extremely disappointing. Their macaroni salad was not seasoned properly - I honestly think it's quite hard to mess up macaroni salad - but they did tit. The side of poke was sloppily put together with some chopped tuna and soy sauce and tasted nothing like the ones I've had in Hawaii. Kalbi was quite burnt and had no flavor; kalua pork was just bland. The staff was very nice and I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately I am not willing to pay that high of a price for a disappointing experience.

Not the prettiest picture but here's the shrimp!! The truck is located in a very quiet area in the parking lot. There is also seating next to the truck if you wanted to sit & eat there. The garlic smell was very strong & personally it smelled great to me. I asked for my shrimp spicy and it was just right (I have a medium tolerance)! The shells were still on the shrimps, but I didn't mind too much because I'm the type to eat the tails. The shrimp was good size and the whole plate was a great portion if you wanted to eat it in two meals. The garlic sauce on top of the rice also gave a little extra extra. The only thing is, the garlic was so strong that it lasted on my breath for at least a day no matter how much I brushed my teeth so eat with caution :) Overall, cute place & great to support!!

Got the Kalbi and Kalua dish and one malasada with filling. I think the main dish was just okay. Masalada was pretty disappointing, almost no filling. I actually went back to ask if they mistakenly gave me the non filling one. Spent $24 in total, and I thought it was sort of pricy especially for the quality.

Omg, great place. Great Hawaiian menu, mac salad has tuna in it.. not traditional mac salad but it's good! Reminds me of my moms tuna casserole.

Really hit the spot, been looking for some good authentic Hawaiian food in the area for a while. Most of the food was well cooked and tasty (pork, kali, shrimp and poke), the only fault in my opinion was the mac salad. Noodles where undercooked and a bit bland. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu.

It's very comparable to Hawaiian food, except for the malasadas which are better than in Hawaii. I'll definitely go to that place only for malasadas if necessary

This place has been on our radar for quite some time and while I really wanted to like it my overall verdict is OK food and nothing great. The kalua pork pork was nice and moist with a slight smoky flavor, and garlic shrimp was alright (I'd have to say if I ate them there on the spot and not cold when I got home they might've been better). The malasadas were a little disappointing and resembled a donut that was over fried and had too dense a texture plus it lacked that fluffiness like the kind in Hawaii. The macaroni salad was also way too salty. Lastly, they overcharged me but were polite and refunded my credit card right away. I had to wait 25 minutes for the malasadas because the propane ran out and they had to reheat the frying oil and when I got my bag of food my garlic shrimp juice had leaked out of the bag and was dripping everywhere and they kindly replaced the bag but unfortunately I wasn't able to add the juices from the garlic shrimp to my rice. Hopefully this was just a one time deal. I'll give them another chance. Consistency is key to great meals...

We went for the filled malasadas, and although the filling was delicious and the dough had a nice chew and light sweetness, the dough was completely cold and raw in the middle of 4/6 of them.

Checked this place out while in the area. It took about 10 min to get our order so it wasn't too bad. The food was good, I had the north shore garlic shrimp and some malasadas. I've heard mixed reviews about their food but I liked it! It's a truck to check out, it's probably the closest thing locally to the shrimp trucks in Hawaii! It's worth a try!
