My friend and I just moved around the area and have been looking for a Hot Pot to go to. We found this on Yelp and it has great reviews, so we decided to give it a try. For our base, we got the chicken and schezuan beef and it did not dissapoint! The menu is pretty limited but it was more than enough! I would say that the best part for this hotpot is that it is relatively cheaper compared to other hotpots around the area and the sauce bar is already included in the price! For their sauce bar, they have more options compared to other places that I've been to which I love! The service is pretty slow, as it is understaffed, so hoping that the owners would fix that. Parking is also not a problem as there is a huge parking lot with other stores around the area. Would definitely come back! UPDATE - It looks like for the month of 12/2022 they are closed and will be joining with another franchise with same team and owner. It will open in Spring 2023

I am a hot pot lover and have been to almost every hot pot restaurant around Bellevue. Huo Yan Hot pot is honestly great, and I don't think they get enough credit! I usually get their AYCE option or just the regular "set" menu choice of veggies, meat, toppings, noodles, etc- and I've tried both the traditional spicy broth and the tomato broth, and trust me when I say this, they are so delicious. I am not a big fan of tomato broth for hot pot but my cousin got it and I tried a bite, and was instantly in regret that I didn't get that. The noodles and broth go so well together and is an absolute MEAL! meat tastes great, tender, and the variety really gives you lots of options to choose for your own liking! Also, get their chinese donut!!!! They are so yummy! They heat it up right when you order it and is so warm, crispy on the outside and so soft and moist on the inside. It's a 11/10 and sometimes I want to go just for this. Service is also amazing, the waiter is very kind and helpful. I had lots of questions about the broth, sauce bar, and toppings, he stayed with me and answered everything in such a nice way, price wise, it isn't cheap but it's honestly worth it! 10/10, would definitely recommend

This was my first time trying AYCE hotpot although I have tried Korean BBQ AYCE before.Me and my friend went to this restaurant for saturday lunch. It was pretty easy to get a seat. There were plenty of options in the AYCE menu. We chose Fatty Beef, Fatty Lamb, Pork Belly, Chicken, Squid, Shrimp, Sole Fillet, Quail eggs and multiple other things. For broth we chose Vegetable Mushroom and Chicken broth. They had a section for sauces as well.Although there were plenty of options in the food and service was good, nothing felt exceptional in taste. The meat felt bland even though we tried with different sauces. Although it might be us due to less experience with hotpot, but probably won't be coming back here.

The bear oil is hella spicy but worth it. It adds so much flavor to the broth and add ons! If you can't handle spicy the original broth is still delicious too. I'm just a ~spicy~ girl haha I love AYCE and they have a lot of variety with good service. The meat quality is solid. Lots of parking.

Its a very nice and well designed hot pot restaurant, and looks very upscale as well on the inside. I love that you get your own pot too. The butter bear flavor is so cute but the only downside is, in my opinion, it's not as salty as I usually like my hot pot to be so I ended up REALLY taking advantage of the sauce bar and it's seasonings. There are good spices and the spice level is good but in terms of saltiness, I was disappointed personally. Also, it sucks that you HAVE to get all you can eat from Friday night until the rest of the weekend because I usually don't get that much or eat much to begin with so I wish they had the personal combo option Fri-Sun. Other than that, I would come here at least once if you've never tried it.

Actual rating is probably closer to a 3.5/5 but Yelp doesn't have half stars. I was pretty excited to try this place, particularly because of the cute spicy bear that I saw in the pictures. We got one soup base that was spicy and one that was not, and thankfully we got one that was not spicy. I would definitely recommend taking out the spicy bear midway through it melting into the soup because it is really spicy, if you let it melt all the way in. The soup was not very flavorful even though it was very spicy, I actually went over to the sauce bar and grabbed some salt for my soup because it lacked flavor. The meat was decent quality and the price was relatively reasonable but I'm not sure I would come back that often mainly because I like other hot pot places more.

Amazing service! Great food quality and super clean spot! Been coming here once a month, so happy that this spot is in the area now. The dude working there is so nice!

We recalled to dine in here many years ago when this restaurant was called, Crab King. Surprising, we made a reservation and found out it's a different name now. It's in the crossroad mall by the movie theater. The complimentary parking was available in the plaza so it's convenient. When we walked in, it looked that the restaurant was slammed and short staffed. Only one staff was running in and out for 11 tables. Luckily, some of them finished already. We got sat in 5-10 minutes and the server would come to you whenever he was available. It's all you can eat and we decided to upgrade to unlimited Wagyu beef and seafood. For salad bar, there were green peas, shrimp chips and sauces. Some of sauces were empty so we got what we could. The meat, shrimp and all ingredients were fresh and delicious and we really liked the handmade noodles. We chose the chicken broth and signature spicy one and they were perfect. The service was friendly but a little slow. We were understanding and glad to try another hot pot restaurant.

Been to quite a few hot pot places around the greater Seattle/Bellevue areas but this one for the price $31-$36) per person offered a good number of selections on their AYCE menu! If you order the spicy (two hot levels) it comes with a cute frozen "spicy" bear that melts as the broth (chicken or beef) warms up. The only thing we thought was meh are the surimi artificial crab that has a mushy texture but outside of that all the meat choices were great and a must get is the rockfish!

I loved the chicken broth so much! It was wholesome and hearty. We did the AYCE, and it was really fairly priced for the selection. My husband and I don't like to waste food, so we ordered slowly. We went on a Tuesday, around 6 pm and it was super quiet. The waiter was really kind and attentive. We dropped our chopsticks, and he was over with a new pair. He saw me eating shrimp with my hands, and he got me extra napkins. I felt like it was eating at home with your parents, they were all so nice to us! Also, the sauce bar was fun, it was my husband's favorite part. The meat was high quality, but the fatty pork made my broth taste more gamey and I didn't like that. I'll be sure to cook the pork at the end!!! Also, the Chinese donut was fun and I had two plates of that by myself. I can't wait to go back!

If you’re into individual broths and all you can eat, this is the place. Quaint and clean place. Broths are all refillable and there’s a nice self serve sauce bar. Very generous meat servings and endless vegetables to choose from, which are very fresh. The quality here is good. Only downside is that sometimes the broth isn’t too flavorful, but sauces make up for it. Still worth the trip.

Delicious hot pot. A variety of broths to try- spicy very spicy, vegetarian and chicken broth.Everything was fresh, staff attentive to our large group - filling out broth bowls and water glasses. I highly recommend!.

The waiters weren’t around literally ever. I asked them for water and they said ok, walk away and didn’t come back making me ask a second time. And don’t even get me started in the dunk-load of oil they put in their soup base. My stomach hurt the morning after I ate, causing me to throw up. Horrible experience.

First time coming here with my family over the weekend! We love to try hotpot places we've never been to before. I have a 4 month old baby with me, so I had a stroller and our waiter definitely made it accommodate for him to stay in his stroller and sit next to us while we were eating! I appreciate the staff being so nice and for saying hello to my little man, he loves meeting new people :) Definitely recommend the spicy beef oil soup if you're up for a spice! I know my tongue was burning and but it was sooooo goood!

We had so much fun here. My best friend brought us here for the first time and we all loved it. This is hands down the best service we've had at hot pot. Usually we're ignored and rushed out of hot pot places, but this place felt like we were eating with family and friends. The waitress went above and beyond for us and was so kind. I will come here every single time I come up to Seattle. I love the little bears and their coconut juice is delicious! The food is great, but the service we had was amazing and that's what def will keep me coming back time and time again. It's never super busy and there isn't usually a long long wait. Loveeee! We will back soon. Thank you!
