After not visiting for a long time, I came here again. Last time, I had to admit that I was pretty disappointed by the dish 'Yanduxian,' but after such a long time, I decided to give it another chance. Our group of six people ordered many dishes. I'd say this time it was better than I expected. Some of the dishes are pretty good, for example, the red-braised pork belly and the egg yolk pumpkin. Some of the dishes met the standard but were not amazing, such as the Eight Treasure Duck and some cold dishes. However, I was again disappointed by the 'Yanduxian.' It was just NOT right. Nothing was right about this soup, and please just avoid ordering this. Hopefully, the restaurant staff will see this review and ask me what would be the correct way of cooking it. Anyway, it's improving. There's already very little competition among Shanghai-style restaurants here, so at least it provides a destination to enrich the diversity.

This place is becoming a crook. They add water to their bill and don't give you itemized receipts. They are avoiding paying state and federal tax by asking customers to pay cash. No receipts given. Consumer beware.

In addition to Shanghainese food, there is also Korean food. Shanghai smoked fish, wontons, pig's trotters, and vegetable fried rice give you a taste of authentic Shanghai cuisine. Korean horse noodles and fried chicken wings also whet your appetite. There are private rooms, suitable for family reunions. The painted wallpaper is warm and bright, making it feel like home.

The only authentic Shanghai restaurant in the Great Seattle area.
This is a very nice lunch spot. The food was fantastic. The service was as customary as it gets. We has the saczwan beef and shared it. We had to purchase rice that in my opinion should have been served with the meal. We have been here twice now. But this is unfortunately our last visit. We want value. Not extra. Just value. One meal with rice shared by two with hot tea and water $48.00 almost $25.00 a peice to share food is just too high, even if it was good. Please inquire the prices before you stop in.

Got a 15% off coupon for a take out order. The store did not honor it, and there was no manager to address my concern.--Update--The store contacted me and provided the refund fairly quickly. I have been coming to this restaurant every month for the past 2 years. I am glad that the service is as good as their food.

I was looking for Shanghainese dishes and was very happy to see things like malantou (malan salad) and kaofu on the menu. I'll definitely come back to try a few more dishes.
