When you walk in, you go up to the computer and order your ice cream(s). The milk ice cream with ube filling is DELICIOUS!For an ice cream shop though, I wouldn’t say it’s kid friendly. There’s no seating available and the one long table available is way too high for kids to set their ice cream down on.Staff was very friendly. Plenty of parking available.

I been to this place twice and each time the workers have been pleasant. You order via tablet at the front. This place isn't meant for hanging out. There are no chairs and the water cups are tiny ( think small ones at the dentist office for flouride). There is a long bar top .The ice creams come with half of marcaron ( with no creme) or a piece of a strawberry.Parking is part of the plaza so busier during the day.

i got Cookies & Cream ice cream with an upside-down taiyaki with red bean filling, topped with oreo crumbs and biscoff crumble, along with a macaroonStarting off with the good, the customization here is pretty cool - how you get to choose between many different types of ice cream, filling, and toppingsAdditionally, I really liked the dough in the taiyaki - it was quite soft and nice to eatThe Biscoff crumble topping was also really goodOn the downside, I really did not like the red bean filling. It very much conflicted with the ice cream I was trying to enjoy - maybe I'm just not a fan of red beanin general, but I certainly wasn't a fan of it hereAlso, the soft serve ice cream wasn't amazing - I got cookies & cream - but it mostly just tasted like chocolate ice cream. It also doesn't have the texture or flavorof real ice creamThe good thing is for the price (around 7 dollars) it was a pretty good portion of ice cream + taiyakiOverall, an interesting experience, but probably not going to try it again. 5/10

Loved my upside down cone. The ube ice cream with taro in the fish cone were a wonderful complement to each other.

No reservations in recommending this place. Went for Matcha soft serve and left satisfied. The flavor is stronger than your usual Matcha. The outlet is decent but given the popularity the eating place is a bit smaller. It is decently sized but apparently the place is generally crowded.Would definitely want to add a comment on their serving size - In my opinion soft serve is good enough for 2 people. I couldn't eat all by myself despite the fact that I didn't have dinner.

The soft serve was great. I like their rotating swirl options. I had the matcha and black sesame flavor last time and was happy that it wasn't too sweet, but honestly didn't get much of a sesame flavor. Previously I've had their cookies and cream and matcha flavor. The staff were polite and efficient. They acted calm while the place was packed with people. Their tablet that they had you order on was a bit laggy and not the greatest experience, but wasn't the biggest deal. There's no searing, so we honestly just ate it outside where it was less crowded and quieter.

Absolutely would recommend. I was looking for a place that sells good taiyaki and had no idea this place was here! The food is good for all ages and palates and the servers and cashiers were very friendly to me

Finally gave this place a try since this is more of in the area compared to Matcha man. I think the quality is on par. Somi somi has a better variety to choose from and they let you choose toppings too! The Taiyaki was filling especially with the filling inside as well. Not a huge sweet tooth, so was not able to finish a single one by myself. The ice cream also turned into soup before I could fully finish anyways. Excited to see what other flavors they have in the future!

I really would like to see them get a little bit better of an arrangement when it comes to getting too busy and lines going out the door! Their ice cream is legitimately, good, but the little fish desserts are mediocre at best. Sorry to say, but Happy Lemon has the betterflavor when it comes to Asian waffle batter.

Been a huge somi fan since I first experienced it at HMart Plaza in k town LA. Have been to locations all over California and both Nevada stores.Psyched they are in WA but the service was non existent. Zero customers but the sole employee (blonde woman with glasses) ignore us and then the following two customers. Zero greeting. Extremely curt when offering our deserts. Nada.Your employees will kill your brand. Be warned.

My friends have been talking about the infamous Korean-inspired soft serve for months when they visit California and I was so excited to hear that they finally opened up their chain in Washington. Somi Somi is a soft serve & taiyaki place, they have a special Korean dessert known as "Ah-Boong", a fish-shaped waffle cone filled with your choice of filling and topped with soft serve. You can choose different toppings on top of your soft serve, I usually go with the fruity pebbles, matcha powder with a side of macaron. Their taiyaki is more on the crispier side and their soft serve flavors changes weekly. I got the matcha flavor with with the cookie butter and it tasted amazing. Their soft serve is a good amount of sugary and milky, and I highly recommend to check this place out!

The ube/matcha swirl with the taro flavored fish waffle was fantastic! Cost was $7 but the portion was so big I couldn’t finish it all. Waffle was made fresh to order. The ice cream was creamy and flavorful. There isn’t any seating available so you will have to take your order to go. Highly recommend for a yummy dessert after dinner in the area!
