Happy hour here is so worth it if you have been wanting to try this place out. The atmosphere is definitely the highlight of this hot pot establishment.

It was impressing! Had a tomato based soup with meat and veges! It was good that we didn’t have to wait as it was weekday lunch time! It maybe little bit pricey but once in a while will be ok! We paid a little bit over 100 dollars for two. Will be coming back!

Parking is good, food is good. But Like others have said, service towards the end of our meal was questionable. I didn’t like the way that they tried to get us out of the space towards the end, multiple (different) servers came by our table to get us to leave when we had just hit the two hour mark (We were almost done and enjoying jelly dessert we got from the counters). They kept asking us if we wanted our ice cream so we could get out of there. I understand the two hour rule, BUT I think there was a less aggressive way to go about it plus we weren’t really waaay overtime. And they were reluctant to split our bill (use multiple cards), the server was clearly frustrated when they tried to split it and it didn’t work, and was not very nice about it. Not a super classy end of meal service for a classy environment.Parking: Parking is great!

We got here at 12pm on a Saturday and was told the wait was about 20 to 30 minutes. We were not seated until 1:30pm. When asking about why the wait was so long, the explanation was several tables stayed there for 2 hours. That’s ridiculous as an explanation because people came here to have a good meal and they have the rights to stay for how ever long they wanted to. The waiting system seems to include people from different sources as well. Some people that were seated clearly didn’t join the Yelp waitlist. So no idea how the seating order was determined. If you really want to come here to eat but are on a tight schedule, take their estimated waiting time with lots of grains of salt!

My recent experience attending a birthday event highlighted a noticeable decline in service quality. Despite having secured a reservation for the private room, there was an unexpected delay in seating, and upon arrival, we encountered a shortage of chairs, despite confirming the attendee count with Connie Do via email. Additionally, upon being seated, we experienced discomfort due to the room's elevated temperature, with staff unable to adjust it, raising concerns for warmer weather conditions. While the offerings were priced higher than expected, nothing particularly stood out in terms of value or quality. Overall, my experience left me disappointed, and while I provide this feedback constructively, I cannot recommend it at this time.

Introduced to the United States by Doulao hotpot restaurant in China, we came to enjoy it with friends in Bellevue downtown.Instead of one big pot for three people to use together, each person chooses their favorite soup base, and a small pot sits in front of you to cook it yourself.Everyone enjoys the ingredients together. The fish paste (shrimp paste) is very delicious and chewy. This one is delicious. We also ordered regular beef and wagyu. Wagyu is really more delicious, but expensive.Geoduck, very fresh and sweet, slightly hot, sweet and crispy in the mouth! After the angel red shrimp is boiled, it does not give a better taste enjoyment, and ordinary white shrimp can be used. There is a parking lot underground. After paying, you can get six hours of parking, which is very convenient. The price is not cheap, not including tip, it’s US$200 per person!

My partner and I decided to dine at the Dolar Shop for the first time. While we were promptly seated, the close proximity of the tables created a cramped atmosphere, and we were unable to escape the noise from neighboring customers. The positioning of the hot pot directly in front of me also proved inconvenient, making it challenging to arrange our other dishes comfortably. However, what truly disappointed us was the noticeable discrepancy in treatment between our table and the one adjacent to us. Despite arriving simultaneously, the neighboring table received their food within 20 minutes, whereas we waited 40 minutes before our server addressed our lack of service. This discrepancy, coupled with what seemed like racial undertones, left us feeling disrespected and marginalized. Adding to our disappointment, another waitress attempted to rectify the situation by offering us a plate of meat we had not ordered, and discreetly requested that we not inform the manager. This lack of professionalism and accountability was unprecedented in our dining experiences. We believe that if complimentary items are to be offered, they should be done so with sincerity and transparency, rather than through underhanded means.

There's a lot of hype for Dolar so we decided to go check it out with a group of friends. To be clear: the hot pot is excellent.Everyone selects a broth for themselves. I chose the truffle mushroom which was a perfect for umami flavor. I know that others say to go for the pork broth, but that is too greasy for me. My partner went for the tomato broth and I found that delicious too, but honestly I preferred the mushroom. We ordered ribeye, seafood combo, veggie combo, mushrooms, noodles, etc. Everything was fresh and beautifully presented. The hot pot here is easily one of the best in the Puget Sound region. However it's staggeringly expensive. The bill came out to about $80 per person. For hot pot, that's a lot to choke down. While the decor was clean and appealing, the seating was actually very uncomfortable. For some reason the seats and table are really low like a kindergarten classroom, and I felt like I was hunching over and hovering over the food like a caveman. Finally, after we finished, the manager came over and asked if we could hurry it up and leave because there's a queue of people waiting to be seated. I mean, I can understand how they need to turn over and generate revenue, capitalism and all. But we just generated $80 per person - for hot pot.And moreover, it's not like we could just get up and go. Yes we were finished eating and talking and having a great evening, but our server was nowhere to be seen, and there's no way to get up and leave, per the manager's request, without even having received the check for dinner. It's not like we were lingering because the seating was so comfortable.Anyway, the hot pot was great. But I'm not impressed with the rest.

Went in with my parents and brother for dinner and WOW! This place is great! Good service, atmosphere is nice and the decor is a sight for sore eyes. The Dolar Shop is perfect for hotpot lovers and I recommend getting the half spicy and half creamy broth!

Food is nice but too overpriced, also they force add a 3% additional fee if you use credit card, which is terrible. And the tip is not calculated based on pre-tax, it’s after-tax plus the 3% transaction fee!!!
