We were waiting for our table to be prepped, there were 8 of us. A lady and her husband pushed passed us and demanded a table....and they stopped prepping our table to seat her, get her coffee and menus before returning to service my group. We waited more than 10 minutes to get someone to see to our drinks and get us menus. Then they forgot our French toast order and when it was brought out is was soggy due to being severely undercooked. We will never return.

Food was tasty and ample, service was thoughtful and prompt, prices and selection were reasonable. We were able to converse, too, which is not always the case! Felt very welcome and will come back!

This place is a shadow of its former self, ive been coming here for over 20 years. Comparatively the quality isn't the same, portion sizes are small, gas station sausage and bacon and the long wait to get your order taken let alone get your food is rediculous. Stay away if you have hungry kids.

Was exactly what I was looking for. The two people that serviced our table might have been the most polite and respectful wait staff that I've come across.

Good portion sizes, great service, and a great atmosphere make this place a good experience. I had the biscuits and gravy 2 hard eggs, bacon and a pancake. The biscuits were soft and fresh, the country gravy was good but the sausage in it was basically bland and tasteless it was so mild. The eggs cooked to perfection and the pancake was large and filling. My favorite part was the maple syrup... it was rich and buttery rather than overly sweet like so many maple syrups can be. The server was smiling and energetic though busy. She was attentive and prompt. The atmosphere is calm and peaceful in an open floor plan with a bar in the center. I recommend this place. I want to go back and try the lunch menu next.

Went with a large group. Food and service was outstanding. Servers would come by frequently to provide refills and ask if anyone needed anything. Will definitely return.

A bunch of us go here one a month for breakfast. We can be a rowdy bunch but our servers are always so nice. Have issues now and then with food but it's a busy place so not surprised. Good food.. plenty of it. Recommended!

Our experience wasn't as good as other visits to the Hilltop have been. Our server seemed pretty inexperienced, especially regarding our bar order, but was very friendly. We asked questions he couldn't answer, and it took a while before we could finally order. When our drinks arrived, they didn't have limes in them (a standard for a gin and tonic). For our food, our fish from the fish and chips was overcooked. Not a terrible experience, just not quite what we expect from the Hilltop.

Satisfying American food served in a classic hometown restaurant by friendly staff. We both had the meatloaf & gravy dinners with perfectly steamed veggies, real mashed red potatoes, 1 w/ green salad & 1 w/ clam chowder. It was all delicious! There were a couple of flies hovering, and the decor could use a refresh, but this place has been in business for over 60 years, so it's clear they're doing something right!

Worst service I ever had there. Lady was kind of rude. Hardly any customers!
