Oh man this place is good.Seafood chowder - this was really really good. hearty, thick, salty, creamy. They didn't skimp on the stuff. Enjoyed this thoroughly.Brussell sprouts - it was so good even my fussy 2 year old ate them. The secret is they're deep fried, and glazed with a balsamic vinegar. pairs perfectly with the crispy bacon.French Dip - Why did I enjoy this so much? the beef was succulent, soft, but flavorful. the dipping sauce was a nice salty kick, the bread was chewy and crispy. The best part according to my 5 year old were the tempura green beans. It was like eating green french fries!Crab mac and cheese - eh you can give this a skip. There's a lot of crab but it doesn't go that well with the cheese as its very fishy. the mac and cheese itself was quite good though. The service was great, the waitress and hostess were kind and attentive and willing to answer questions. The restaurant atmosphere is rustic and quaint, I really think anyone who walks in will feel its charm. Definitely making another trip across the border to eat here again.

Our server Keith provided us with excellent service, paying attention to our needs by constantly filling up our water glasses and other beverages. The black cat burger I would recommend if you're looking for a hamburger. Their option of fries and or tempura beans are a great option. The ambience is a very local vibe so please check them out for lunch or happy hour for great value of their food and beverage menu.

Our first time here. Location was great, food was good, we had a really nice time until towards the end of our stay. Our server left us hanging with empty plates ready for the bill for a long time - then dropped the bill off without offering to split the checks or any instructions for payment. She didn’t come back to our table for at least 10 minutes, and only did so once we were getting up to leave and trying to figure out where to pay.She appeared passive aggressive when we asked to split the bill, acting very unimpressed by our request. She continued this way until she handed us our bills to sign for payment (doing so with a strategic smile). We left with a negative feeling and a sense of wasted time instead of the positive one we had and anticipated at the start.

Seemed like a fun place, however, staff never took our order. And when told that we had been waiting 20 minutes. There was no interest in correcting and actually providing customer service. rude staff .management might want to consider sending a couple of faux Customers to review situation and reassemble a staff that provides customer service.

Great food! Loved the jalapeno chicken, the roasted brussels sprouts are tasty and the service was great. A little noisy but not too bad.

Delicious! Old building with beautiful woodwork thru out. Restaurant is on third floor, don't worry there is an elevator. The views from there are fantastic, look out to the San Juan Islands and on a clear day the Olympic Mountains.

Love coming here and love the food but the service kind of sucks. I’m sure they may just need to hire more staff but we barely get any help from our waiter whenever we’re there. We’ve sat in the back missing items we ordered with no service for over 30 mins before.

Waited 16 minutes for someone to drop 2 glasses of water at our table and say someone would be with us soon. Didn't stay long enough to try the food since it took so long just to get water.
