It’s also been saved and eaten for days now (with refrigeration of course), and it hasn’t lost any flavor or texture. “This bakery is exceptional. I only found out about it because I tried their macaroons at a cafe down south in Kent. I was in the area and decided to drop by and get myself a box of macaroons. I ended up buying a piece of cake as well. When walking in, you can tell it's not a sit down place to order and enjoy. The ladies in the back are hard at work and making a ton of desserts. I got 2 of each flavor they had from the macaroons. I've been to Paris and I didn't even like macaroons as much as I did these. That's how good they are. The inside is clean, well maintained and I loved the woman who served me. She made sure I was taken care of and helped me carry things to the car. Can't wait to be back. This is my favorite macaroon spot!“

“Had their concha’s, hot chocolate, and coffee at a local event. Everything was amazing, I’ve had concha’s my entire life and these are by far the best I’ve ever had. They do not skimp on quality and are by far the best. I would definitely make the hour trip to get a box of their stuff.“

“Great little cafe with excellent espresso. I came late at about 10:30am and the food was gone so I can't speak to that. I love working here with a coffee. They have free Wi-Fi and a private back room for studying or working. They always have beautiful art from local artist on the walls for decoration and to purchase. It's like a rotating gallery and makes a great atmosphere.“

Everyone who had a slice of the Hojicha Tiramisu could not help themselves from remarking how good it was!There was already a great impression from talking with Yumie on the phone and then meeting her at pickup. “Recently, my wife and I heard of this little gem from a friend on social media. My wife is Colombian so she was very excited to have a true Colombia style bakery near by. I have always heard of the traditional passion fruit/guanabana smoothies my wife has in her country and I couldn’t wait to finally try them.Since this location is in Sculpture park it can be hard to find parking but don’t let that stand in your way of visiting. We arrived at the bakery moments after they opened, in fact everything was still coming out of the oven and being sorted out for the day. We placed our order ( 1 Soursop smoothie, 1 Passionfruit smoothie, 1 Beef empanada, 1 Ham & Cream cheese puff pastry, and a Milhojas ). The food and drinks arrived at a decent speed…the pastry took slightly long but it’s because we arrived right at opening and they were still sorting things as I mentioned.The smoothies were absolutely fantastic! I mean WOW. The Soursop was nothing like I have ever tried before. If anything it resembled a yogurt type taste but so much better! The passionfruit was also so refreshing. If I have one recommendation it would be to offer a bigger size in the smoothies. They appeared to come as a 12OZ only but they do offer coffee and 16OZ for the coffees.The Empanada was great! Cooked well and the dough around the beef was yummy. I’m use to having bigger empanadas but a true Colombian empanada is the same size they offer at this bakery.The Milhojas is a sweet treat I have never experienced before and it was so good. I would recommend this to anyone. Grab a Milhojas and a coffee and share it with your partner/friend.Last but not least the Ham & Cream cheese puff pastry. I will mention this also includes Jalapeño. Now, Jalapeño isn’t something traditionally used in the Colombian culture so this surprised my wife, but it was a delicious add in. The texture and crisp of the puff pastry was the favorite thing I had. It was almost like pretzel flakes that melted in your mouth. I really loved this pastry and I for sure could have eaten a few of them.One thing I would emphasize is that this is a bakery. I’m a 25 Year old who eats a lot so if you are looking to come here for breakfast just know it’s light pastries and coffee/smoothies. You won’t be leaving super full. I would recommend this place for a early weekend adventure. Or quick bite before having a late brunch.The Colombian Delights Bakery is a relatively new place and it sure is good! “We chose Mike’s Amazing Cakes for three reasons: the cakes are beautiful, the cost is reasonable, and the cake actually tastes good! We tried a few other places where the cakes just tasted sugary or they were going to cost $15/serving. We asked Mike for a custom flavor (dark chocolate) and it was exactly what I was looking for. All four flavors were delicious, we ordered extra cake and we didn’t have a single piece left over! Multiple people ate two slices, and we got a ton of compliments on the design and the flavors. We chose a relatively simple design and let Mike run with it and he created something that was somehow exactly what we wanted and better than we could have imagined!“
