This place was great. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Very fair prices and the food is worth every penny. Authentic and fresh made to order so there's a little bit of a wait, but you will not leave disappointed.I will gladly be a returning customer.
Had beef Teriyaki with mac salad and rice. Large portion of the beef with the best sauce, not the sickly sweet stuff but just right! Loved it. Mac salad was OK. I lived 10 years in HI and never did care for mac and mayo so I won't critique it. However the meat was tough - took me about 5 minutes to chew each mouth full! But I did because the sauce was so delicious :) I recommend using baking soda to velvet the meat before marinating. (See The Woks of Life website for instructions or just Google).I'll be back for the flavors which were so good!

I have no idea how they're still in business with the incredible prices and food quality and quantity you get. I've been a few times to grab some musubi which are amazing, but I stopped by on Friday and got their special which was a "baby bombucha" plate for $10 but the word "baby" was a total misnomer. It was way too much food for me to eat for one meal. The best kalua pork I've had on the mainland and really delicious kalbi beef. That plus a musubi ran me $12 and I had to give half of it to my husband. The only thing to be prepared for is they run on island time, so expect to wait 20 minutes for your food. Call ahead if you're in a hurry!

good food but restaurant isn’t open the days it says it’s open. need to change on website. past 3 times I’ve gone its closed but online it says it’s open…
I lived in Hawaii for over 10 years, I've missed the food & connection greatly. Island Hut not only has amazing food but the people who own this place are so kind & give the feeling of home (Hawaii). The community connection & compassion that comes from this place & this family is top notch! Mahalo

It’s a small restaurant. There is no bathroom. The food was okay. I thought it was going to be really good because of its ratings. I’m a foodie so I was more than willing to try since I’m new to the area. The breaded chicken was sitting in lots of grease with no flavor, pull pork was super salty, mac and cheese was liquidy. My stomach hurt after eating it. The only thing that was good was the white rice and bbq grilled chicken. Nothing fancy and I’ll stick with Gyro Star up the street.Parking: It’s a small parking lot shared with many companies
