So to be fair --- I did not actually taste the any of the pastries or the champagne cake. This review is for their service. We walked in wanting to try these amazing champagne cakes, however as soon as we walked in, we were not greeted, the lady was standing there arms crossed, and not friendly or approachable. I wanted to try the cake, however they did not sell by the slice, but understandable. However they did not even suggest the cupcakes they had and only found out afterwards they had cupcakes. When we asked what their favorite item was, she suggested one item that looked the most unappetizing. Overall, not sure if the lady there today was having an off day, but be better to your potential customers. The attitude totally turned me off, and sadly will not be back.

Cake was amazing!! Service was great as well (: Chocolate cake tasted like Oreo and the vanilla cake tasted like twinkies! There was two cakes one with chocolate and the other with vanilla since they couldn't do a marble cake sadly . But overall cakes were great!!

I have always wanted to try the pink champagne cake. For my birthday which is 4 days before Valentine’s Day, my husband was able to get me a pink champagne cake… Omg this cake is absolutely amazing and gorgeous, make sure you get it with the coconut soooo good. I love this bakery!

Review for Thanksgiving pies and dinner rolls. I would give McGavin 10/10 for outstanding service. I sent an email asking if it was too late to order and received a prompt response back saying it wasn't and they would be happy to take my order. I received a phone call the following day confirming my order and payment method. Then on my scheduled pickup day/time, it was so quick and easy! The apple pie was sooo delicious!! I'm definitely ordering again. The pumpkin pie was also delicious but a little heavy on cinnamon (for my taste). All in all, just a wonderful experience at McGavins! I will definitely be back for the champagne cake!!

I was very sad about getting this cake . I have had this cake 5 years ago before we left for Japan. The smell and taste WAS outstanding . I should have read a few of the reviews DO NOT GET THIS "CHAMPAGNE CAKE" your wasting your money . You can see down below from another upset patron that the business pretty much denied a change . I bought this cake fresh for my daughter's first birthday . My family happily works in the culinary field and yes we decided to buy a cake instead of always baking for others . The cake : White cake there is NO HINT OR FLAVOR OF CHAMPAGNE. The "Filling " is butter cream vanilla and the icing is just plain vanilla . There was nothing special about this cake and it's sad since we have bought cookies and cupcakes which tasted 100% great . I spent $100 here on extra cookies and treats for the party, happily supporting a local business for their specialty cake which is not "it" anymore . Service was still impecable, packaged all my baked goods with care and respect . Bring cash to tip !

McGavin's Bakery made a phenomenal wedding cake that topped off the night pleasing guests and wanting more! After tasting 8 wedding cake vendors, we were very glad to taste, love and book our wedding cake services through McGavin's Bakery. The cake was beautiful, on-time, and delicious. My only regret was that we should have ordered a bigger cake even though we had a dessert spread. Great job to the crew for making this day extra special.

More like a fancy white cupcake with the filling of a hostess cupcake or something with a sweet and pink food coloring buttercream icing. $17 something and $20 with a tip, cash paid and keep the change.Could do so much better even if you had to charge a buck or 2 more per cupcake. I’d pay it. Tiny crumb drop of apple cinnamon.As for the cinnamon apple, absolutely not! it’s cheap is what it is. Tiny drop of apple cinnamon is what mine had on each one that I purchased. Dry refrigerated cupcakes that I’d recommend you at least bring to room temp before enjoying. For a real cupcake and custom cake experience and I recommend Wanna Cupcake in the Puyallup area for cupcakes done absolutely right! You can get a much better fresh, not dry cupcake, apple cinnamon at Costco for much less if you by chance have a Costco membership.

Their pecan roll was so good, I had to turn my car around halfway to work so I could get one to bring home to the wife!
