I just found out about this place recently and we have been several times now. Stellar food great service great prices! We will continue to go back! It does get a little busy but well worth any wait you might have!

The staff was very attentive and very nice! The restaurant itself was really crowded, so we sat at the window seats facing the parking lot. The food was pretty good, but not fantastic. My wife is Japanese, and I have spent many years in Japan myself, so we are kind of spoiled. On the positive side; in our opinion, this is the best Japanese restaurant in the Bremerton and Silverdale areas! So we are recommending Oishi Japanese Kitchen! Give it a try!

Food was quite disappointing, everything besides the gyoza was rather bland or lacked any real flavor. Everything’s “sauce” was kewpie mayo and the onigiri was practically just rice and no meat. Probably wont return. Waitress was amazing

First off, the food at Oishi Japanese Kitchen (OJK) is top notch authentic. Here's a rarity: Japanese food prepared by Japanese people who lived in Japan! I spent over 5 years altogether in Japan during my active duty career in the Navy so I know good vs bad Japanese food! Highly recommend the chicken Katsu curry! That being said, the service can be a little slow because they prepare it well. OJK is very affordable! Their prices are good! Not in the stratosphere like most eateries in the Bremerton/Silverdale area. My only complaint is the seating area is too small! We order out nearly every time we visit because their tables are never available. My suggestion is to buy out the either of the businesses to the right or left (both of which are struggling to make it) or move to a larger venue.

We ordered the Yakitori variety meat sampler for each of us and split a Karaage and Gyoza. Both the Gyoza and Karaage came out fast even though they were very busy. The Gyoza had a sause that was just amazing. We asked for katsu sause for the Karaage and they obliged. We also subbed the tofu in the samplers for garlic which again was no problem. And everything was supper tasty. My favorite was the chicken meatball and my guests favorite was the sausage. But we will definitely be here weekly from now on.

I was a resident of Oki a long time ago. This restaurant reminds me of the delicious food I am missing. I haven't tried all of the food, but I do recommend their katsudon, hamburg, geso, and all yaki skewers with a frozen mug of beer. The prices are higher than what I would like, but I am comparing it to my time in Okinawa. I think the service is outstanding, very respectful. I wish they had the arashi kagetsu fried rice though, it would make this place a 6/5 star.

If you’re looking for authentic Japanese cuisine in Kitsap, Oishi is it. After coming home from several weeks in Japan, my family tried numerous Japanese restaurants in the area and this one is the one that truly transported us back to Tokyo. We have tried just about everything on the menu and can say that it is all very good to delicious. The tonkotsu ramen, karage appetizer, and beef steak yakitori are my personal favorites. My 4 yr old daughter loves the edamame, cheese wantons, and sausage yakitori. I have to especially rave about the karage. It’s well seasoned, marinated, and cooked to perfection. Also, the service here is always top notch. We are always treated with such kindness and prompt service. Every single time. If you appreciate true Japanese cuisine, Oishi is for you. Arigato gozaimasu!

We had such a great experience here today! The staff is so extremely nice and welcoming. My husband got the katsu chicken curry and the smile that came across his face with his first bite. Priceless! He said it was the best curry he's had in a long time. I had the katsu plate and talk about a great meal. We also shared the spam onigiri and that was delicious! Such a great hole in the wall place! Definitely will be coming back!!

The food was amazing, our server Emma was great. Creamy udon was our favorite bite, Unagi was a close second. This seems like the kind of place where everything they offer is good and you can’t go wrong with anything you order. Just go.

This is easily the best food we've had since coming back from Tokyo. Everything on the menu tastes like it came from restaurants we ate at while in Japan. The karaage is especially good!

Amazing food, some of the best I've had. Great service, hard to get seats at times because of how busy they are. Been back 3 times already.
