There are two seating areas, so you want to have a reservation so you make sure to sit in the bar area, it’s got a fun vibe about it. We went at 530 mid-week and was not crowded yet, definitely picked up after 630.Food was delicious, service spot on.Great date night place.Do understand it’s not inexpensive but like so many things in life, you get what you pay for. We’ll go again for sure. Excellent service and food. The menu is limited though, but we always find something we liked. The drinks are unique and amazing, they have my favorite cocktails. The dessert menu is creative too.

The food is standout delicious! The chef stopped by the table to say hello and even answered questions about how to make one of the dishes. He was friendly and welcoming. The experience was all-around great.

By far one of my favorite restaurants. Everything is delicious, and the vibe is amaaaazing (I mean, who doesn't love to drink craft cocktails next to the lake and shop for plants?!). The seafood mac and cheese is next level, and so are all of the appetizers. If you haven't been here yet, you're definitely missing out!

What a great, unique spot! The location itself is smack dab in the middle of a literal idyll, but what they’ve done inside is charming in its own right. Add in darn fine food and a friendly staff and you’ve really got something.Parking: If you can come in from the north side - if I have my directions right - you can turn right into the lot. Crossing traffic and turning left was more a factor of human decency from opposing traffic than anything else.

This place is adorable! We sat at a table in the cozy bar.Ordered the burrata appetizer, which was delicious, but could use more acidity (maybe basalmic?!?).The Midwest hospitality relish tray was scrumptious, with candied/spiced nuts (perfect combo of sweet and savory), brined baby corn, mixed olives, deviled eggs topped with caviar, pimento cheese dip, and an assortment of crackers and pretzel. For the entree we ordered the braised short ribs with polenta and broccilini. The short ribs were luscious! The broccolini was a bit over cooked, but tasty, and the polenta was delicious. It's a very heavy dish, and could use something to break up the heaviness.I would reccomend checking this place out, and am looking forward to trying their brunch menu.

How incredibly fortunate and privileged I have been to have dined in some of the most delectable and inspiring restaurants that the PNW has to offer. As part of my career development as a Chef, I make it a priority to visit local restaurants and study new menus that help inspire my creativity and my dishes. The start of this new year has been incredibly strong with my recent visit to a world- class establishment : Acorn & The Oak.My entire experience from start to finish was absolutely exceptional . From the moment you enter the establishment you are struck with such a warm and inviting ambience. The walls are adorned with quirky yet classy decor , the woodwork , the art , the lights, and the exquisite flowers/ bouquets set the stage for Acorn’s best tricks: Craft Cocktails and FOOD!I have tried to make a conscious effort to taste my way through the entire menu and in my most recent visits I have had the pleasure of tasting the exquisite Shrimp Fritters which are one of the best appetizers I have seen on recent menus; it has become my go-to starter as it is so buttery, hearty, and dense like buttermilk biscuit filled with big bites of shrimp! The red pepper goat cheese dipping sauce is an excellent pairing! I cannot rave about this app enough !Another favorite of mine is the Smothered Chicken in Bourbon Mushroom Gravy ! The chicken is so incredibly tender and the char-grilled smokiness that clings to the meat certainly elevates it to the next level . The gravy sauce has an incredible almost browned butter Roux taste that is so delicious that I have come to understand why folks cannot stop talking about this dish !A huge highlight of the night was the Dessert course. I had the privilege of trying the Ooey Gooey Blueberry Butter Cake the day before its grand debut ! It was so rich and decadent; the outer crust was caramelized and had a great bite/ crunch and the closer to the core that you got the more buttery and gooey it became .The fresh fruit and whipped cream provided a great balance ! I’ve never had anything like it or seen it on any local menu ! Great Job!Acorn tops my list of places that can accommodate a casual or elegant dine -in , a stop for craft and elevated cocktails , or a place to grab a weekend bite with friends or family for their brunch offerings .I want to thank Janessa , Bailey , Jamie, and the entire Acorn Staff for the incredible hospitality! You all are doing wonderful work and we are so blessed to have you in our community ! I also want to give a shout out to the talented Kitchen Crew ; your work does not go unnoticed and you folks deserve the recognition ! I say that with complete sincerity and empathy as a fellow Chef , creator , and a person who is passionate about food and food transformation.Hope to see you all folks again real soon- Chef CabreraIG: chef.cabrera

Expectations exceeded on many levels with three small negatives. First, the place is very charming with a warm and energetic vibe. Finding parking in front was tough, but maybe there was more nearby. Cocktails - The Old Fashioned on special with coconut and banana was excellent. However, the pour seemed small and only leveled to half of the rock glass. It could have been the standard 2 ounces, but I think not. Cocktail price points were $15-$20, so definitely higher than at like establishments. Bread and Burrata Board - a hit and a recommend. The Arugula complimented it well. Brussels Sprouts Salad - very light on apples, cranberries and walnuts, otherwise it would have been worthy. Braised Short Ribs with Polenta - tender with a scrumptious sauce. The star of the show, awesome! Smothered Chicken and Mushroom Sauce - the person who ordered it barely touched it and commented it might have been undercooked. Creamed Spinach - not quite at the Morton's level (my fav), but delicious nevertheless. Dessert: Sorbet - much better than expected, light and full of flavor, filling. Loved it. Dessert: Ooey Gooey Butter Cake - dense, sweet, a St. Louis original. They hit it out of the park, so good. I do wish they complemented with crème fraiche rather than the whipped cream they used. You can easily split this four ways. Service: newer gal, but very kind and efficient. Bummer - another server apologetically requested us to wrap it up as another reservation waiting for the table, we were only half way through dessert. Maybe understandable as it was a Saturday night. She seemed to feel bad about it.

Went here for a friends birthday dinner .. needless to say the environment is awesome but the service and food was not. Since they include automatic kitchen gratuity (3%) and service gratuity (20%) it was clear they didn't care as they would get tipped regardless. The food took over an hour to come out and then were missing items which took an additional 15 minutes. The server seemed more annoyed than happy to help. For 4 people the bill was over $300 and this place does not warrant that price. Will not be back.
