Favorite breakfast item is the Monte Cristo. Favorites for lunch: salad is It's All Greek to Me, cold sandwich is Roast Beef & Havarti, hot sandwich is Twisted Reuben, for gluten free Buddha Bowl is Greek Power Bowl It's amazing how fast they are usually able to get their orders out when you see how many are in line

We grab a sandwich and pickle from when it fits with the ferry commute. Big menu and good flavors. Support the local shop!

I was in line for 50 minutes and it took an additional 10 to get my sandwiches. Food is good and you can see the cooks making the sandwiches, but they need improvements on efficiency to keep up with demand.

There were four staff serving three tables, and it was quite a long wait for our food. We were pretty surprised by some of the language we heard the staff using among themselves, and when we were trying to order (at the counter) the staff were so busy talking to one another it wasn't easy to put the order in. Then it was wrong. Not a great experience. Oh, well, there's a good sandwich to be had at the grocery store deli counter next door.

I love this place. The sandwiches are great and they always have a good selection of beer to go. Good cookies too! It's one of my favorite eats on the island to be sure. Staff are always cool. Perfect spot to grab take out for the ferry wait.

I had a "sultry organic sandwich" of sharp cheese and fresh tomatoes on rustic bread with some awesome bean soup. They work their tails off there and are all business with a bit of charm. Nice beer choices and wine with drinks for the kiddos. Best sandwiches around. 5 STARS Pickles Crew!

Pickles is a community spot and one of my favorite memories of this Saturday on Whidbey. Got the my little piggy and added cranberry sauce ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ It was delightful— and gone so quick I didn’t take a photo! The product is phenomenal, and so are their pickle stickers ?Parking: Located beside a grocery store— blink and you’ll miss it! But the parking lot is not often busy so when you circle back around you’ll find it. ?

Be ready to pay into the teens $ for a sandwich, more if ya want soup. If that doesn't hurt your wallet it's fully worth it. I had the meatball sub. It's was soo very good. The bread, the sauce and meat balls, oh fahgetabout! Go do it. The sandwich looked small but I was very satisfied and surprised how full I was.I didn't order soup.Don't get me started on how cool of a place it is. Historically Significant, family owned n operated and delicious food. It's no wonder they're still there.Thnx y'all

"I Said, what type of bread would you like?" His soft voice repeatedly asking.... i felt like i was yelling.... kitchen music, counter people barking orders and echoes, ("#2 reach-in has been windexed") it's so loud in there... then the noise of patrons on top of everything.. gawd forbid you should just want to order from the chalkboard, made to feel guilty (only one in line btw..) that I was somehow a burden for needing a few extra seconds in a thought process. I can't comment on the food as I've never made it through to the final order. This time due to the fact my "special sandwich" was going to be $24.50 .... basic RB sandwich with adding two meats.. (My weekly grocery bill is >$200..)Another visit the line vs counter people seemed to be slightly lopsided, creating a longer wait than a lunchbreak would allow.Trying to support small business... not always successful.

Very difficult to decide which to get, everything sounds so good! I had a panini, roast beef and cheddar. It was delicious but the tomatoes made it pretty messy, could have used longer pressing and more cheese to hold everything together better. Rosemary bread on other sandwich was fantastic! Disappointing that $1 only gets a quarter of a pickle, but we'll definitely be back.
