Brought my daughter here on our vacation and we were very disappointed. The food was very mediocre for the very expensive price. The guacamole appetizer was really expensive so we decided to get the side of guacamole. It was a tiny little scoop for $6 with way too many chili peppers in it, and almost inedible. When I told our server that it wasn’t very good she just said “oh” and walked away, and still left it on our bill, even though we barely ate any and told her we didn’t like it. Enchiladas were disappointing—I can’t believe I paid $22 for a plate of 2 tiny enchiladas with rice and beans which were worth about $4. Overall I paid $56 for 2 mediocre meals—no alcohol, no desserts. I should have demanded more but I didn’t want to make a fuss or make my daughter uncomfortable. Eat anywhere else.

Was treated pretty terribly upon entering the restaurant. The guy seating people at the front acted as if we had no business being there. Greeted with a condescending "Can I help you?" Made to feel unwelcome immediately, then told there'd be a 1 hr wait when there were a number of tables available on a Thursday night. I do understand if they're short staffed, I know that's still an issue in some restaurants... but feel like we could've been treated quite a bit better.Really disappointing. Was looking forward to checking it out, but don't think we're gonna go back.

Fantastic food, drinks, and service! Our waitress was kind and helpful, the food too notch, and the drinks were scrummy. The esquite was the perfect starter, don't miss this gem!

The Host was wonderful with great suggestions. Made reservations for the next night before being seated. Reservations a must. Had the kitschy island vibe to it. Service all around was excellent. The owner was cooking the night we were there. Had the enchiladas, divine! Prices were very reasonable.

The atmosphere is lovely. It's very intimate. The owner's treat everybody tremendously well. The servers are smiling constantly. Very receptive to your needs, some of the best Latino food fused with the local culture. Highly recommend, especially if you're on Orcas Island. Best place to goVegetarian options: I got the chili cheese enchiladas the chili relleno. I've had the veggie nachos there's salads. There is multiple dishes of vegetarian choice. Very delicious!

Shrimp tacos and fish tacos were great, so were the street corn (esquites) and quinoa ball appetizers. They had a long wait and no bar, so we walked around the cirner to a cozy little cocktail bar called Barnacle. Overall, great experience in Eastsound!

The best carne asada! It was tender and thicker than most. It was cooked perfectly instead of overcooked and dried out. We were here in the winter and they closed right before we got there and they opened up for us. Great service and food!

My favorite meal from any restaurant anywhere is their pork tenderloin on sweet potatoes with the Esquites street corn appetizer. The only reason I put 3 stars on atmosphere is because it's tightly packed in there, but that is understandable.

Orcas island gem! Cozy space with friendly staff. It was my favorite meal while on the island. The blackberry mole with short rib was SO satisfying and meat was cooked to tender perfection. Order some tortillas and enjoy some awesome mole tacos tableside. The prawn tacos are a staple. They have frequently rotating menu specials. I recommend dinner there and then heading to The Barnacle for a cocktail.

One of the best moles I’ve ever had, along with one of the best margaritas (the el mestizo). A must-try on orcas island.Kid-friendliness: Server was very kind to our kids and made us feel welcome.
