Super lovely restaurant with gorgeous views. We had the sausage, gravy and biscuits which were really delicious and filling. My only comment is there are no accessible bathrooms, which is something to keep in mind if you use a wheelchair.Wheelchair accessibility: There's a ramp to get inside, but no accessible washroom

This weekend I was on Orcas Island for a local agricultural conference, and dined at New Leaf on my way to catch the ferry home. I had such an incredible meal starting with an arugula salad with a light, tangy passion fruit vinaigrette that was absolutely perfect. I also ordered Ahi Tataki which was fabulous - all the flavors and textures were divine. For my main I chose the braised duck ragù which had been recommended to me by a local who works at The Orcas Project wine tasting room a couple of blocks away. It was SO delicious! The flavors, textures, and plated presentation far exceeded my expectations. I also place a great deal of value and appreciation for chefs and establishments that prioritize sourcing local ingredients, and since Orcas has so much to offer from local farms, fisheries and artisans, I was pleased to see this restaurant naming some of their local sources on the menu. The staff was also very kind and the perfect amount of attentive. I will definitely be bringing my husband sometime soon for a date night!

The restaurant is quaint, but filled with light. It was very clean and tastefully decorated. Service was good and the food was delicious! My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Oh and beautiful views of the bay! Absolutely fantastic!

Super cute! Brunch with my family who live here visited in August. Loved the vibe of this area which is so easily walk able. Staff were nice and inviting. Actually did see some people we knew here by chance. Coffee was great as was my Bloody Mary. I had the B.L.T.A (YUM)with a side of the potatoes which were crispy and delish. Would love to come back someday!

We picked up a burger and salad to eat in room. Best burger I’ve had out in years. The fries were great!

I was really looking forward to having brunch here. The building is super cute and the menu very appealing. I had planned on ordering the traditional eggs benedict. When we arrived, we were immediately greeted by the host. They took our name and number so they could let us know when a table was ready. We sat in the waiting area and I received a text saying that we were on the waitlist and it would be about 15 min. And we waited, watching many people get seated. I figured they had reservations. At 45 min, we asked how much longer it would be. The host was confused and claimed they had two people with the same name. But they NEVER sent a text and we had been sitting there the WHOLE time! The host said she would sit us in 2 minutes and then proceeded to seat someone else. That was just adding insult to injury, so we left.

Restaurant was nearly empty and the staff were milling about discussing how to catch a bug, meanwhile we are peacefully waiting for anyone to come and offer us at least a coffee. After 10 minutes of waiting, we just walked out. We’d had dinner there recently which had disastrous food quality. This venue lost their talented chef, was recently sold to a corporate management entity and the food quality and service has plunged. Visit at your own risk.

Truly my wife’s kind of place—gorgeous view, delightful decor, a lovely helpful server, and Amazing food! I had the classic eggs Benedict and it was quite good. The home fried potatoes were delicious, crispy on the outside but wonderfully creamy on the inside. My wife had the mushroom crepe with tomato chutney and asked for a side of the tarragon hollandaise sauce. We both enjoyed the tasty chipotle hot sauce too. She was in Heaven with all the remarkable flavors, which makes me very happy as she’s a bit harder to feed in most restaurants. (I’ve got meat-y and pasta favorites that are pretty hard to mess up, but not the case for her.) We both loved the view—just across the street from the inlet on a lovely sunny day—and the ambiance. She was a happy cat over the stylish black & white woven chairs and the beautiful art on the walls. Well worth a visit to this stylish place for an excellent meal!

New Leaf has the best breakfast on Orcas, hands down. My wife and I loved it. The staff were all so friendly and the atmosphere was great. My wife recommends the Kale and Mushroom Eggs Benedict on the GF English muffin and I loved the Two Egg breakfast with the Brown Bear Baking wheat sourdough toast and marionberry jam!! We will be back next time we are in Orcas!

We come back every year because the food and service are exceptional. This time, we had the crab cakes, fries, two pasta dishes, and chocolate cake with cremeux. Out of this world.

This is a true gem! They are incredibly GF accommodating and have separate cooking spaces for celiac folks. They GF items taste just like every other gluten bread and I have eaten there 3 times without a reaction. The service is amazing, atmosphere is bright and cheery, and food is INCREDIBLE. Absolutely recommend making this a place you prioritize on Orcas.
