Owners were polite and helpful. They allow you to taste before you buy so you can make a more informed decision. Incredible selection of many exciting tea blends and a roster of spices that aren't very commonly found in a typical grocery store.

Simply the Best tea shop around ‼️?

Such an amazing selection of tea and spices. Owners are wonderful people. I especially appreciate the ability to reuse my own tea tins or spice jars.

I ordered some coffee beans and market chai tea from their website in the mail. The website was easy to use. It all came carefully packaged and on time. Both are delicious and I've been enjoying them everyday. They have a wide variety of teas and other things to choose from. I plan to order again!

The tea and spice selection is great and very affordable. So nice to have fresh products available. The handwritten labels for each purchased item doesn't indicate caffeinated, decaf, herbal, date of purchase, etc. It would be helpful to have this information at home on the label. I do have to mention a downside with the hope that it may change the atmosphere of the shop. The shopkeepers (who seem to also be the owners) are knowledgeable but may not be people-persons. Most customers I've overheard tend to ask the same type of questions (how much tea would I use for a 4-cup pot, or a single cup?) when trying to figure out how much they'd like to purchase by weight. The shopkeepers always seem annoyed with these types of questions. Not everyone knows the ins and outs of tea-making and that it varies greatly on the type of tea/ density of the mix, and a drinkers' preference of brew strength. If the shopkeepers don't want to answer repetitive questions, maybe there could be some examples to look at, signs posted, or flyers to hand out to help educate the customers. Or the shopkeeper could revise "how much would you like?" to "here's what an ounce looks like, and with this type of tea most people use one tablespoon per cup." It's baffling to be met with attitude when you're a customer literally trying to spend money. More flies with honey, right?

Love this shop! Really excellent tea and blends, and there are a ton of fresh stores, as well.

When I was doing some pickling this past summer, I wanted to try a different spice recipe, but didn't want to buy a lot of each of the ingredients. I called Chai Cupboard & gave them the spice recipe & they were able to put it together for me. It was a great help to me!I can always count on Chai Cupboard for good quality herbs & spices. It's wonderful having a local resource for teas, too. I no longer have to put up with low quality (& expensive) grocery store spices, nor drive to Seattle for a nice selection of loose leaf teas. Wonderful location, with ample on-street parking, too!

Stopped by today to pick out a gift for my sister. Cute, lovely store with a fantastic selection. They have a nice selection of teas, spices, and carry some of the more obscure spices that are harder to find. Wonderful customer service! Will be back to stock my pantry!

Walk into this store for the first time today interested in learning about tea. This fellow comes out from behind the curtain. To say he greeted me would overstate the grudging “hi” he was able to muster. I’m the only person in the store walking around looking at their products and not once was help offered or even interest that I was there. I cannot support a store like this. Hey buddy, maybe retail isn’t your cup of tea.

Chai Cupboard has a wide variety of loose teas and spices (along with some tea accesories like travel mugs, teapots, and the like). My partner and I are making our way through a sampling of something like 8 of their tea blends. We definitely enjoy some more than others- our favorite so far, winning the "Labeling Accuracy" award from us is an Apple Maple Muffin blend they had when we stopped in. It's so good, and it tasted exactly like an apple muffin! We also bought some salt and 5 different varieties of whole peppercorns (we use pepper a LOT in our cooking) and the quality is top notch. After the amount of time we spent in the store making our selections and chatting with the wonderful owner, Jen, we were surprised to come away at under $30 with all of our many samplings (at about an ounce or two each). I actually felt a little bad we didn't spend more, considering all the effort she put into describing things, giving recommendations, and packaging our selections. We will definitely be coming back for our favorites and to try even more of the quality product Chai Cupboard has to offer.Side note: BIG bonus points for me that a small business like this one goes out of their way to use sustainable packaging- they are happy to fill containers you bring from home, but their packaging at the store is biodegradable. If you forget your container or stop in spontaneously, don't worry! You won't be adding to the landfill problem if you compost these. ?

This is a beautiful tea/spice shop and a true gem in downtown Everett. The owners are lovely people and there is a huge selection.

The owner is very friendly and accommodating. The shop has a vast array ofteas and spices. The tea blends are great (Banana Zing and Berry Buzz are my favs) and the spices are so cheap compared to what is offered in grocery stores. In fact, I couldn't find marjoram anywhere a few months back, but Chai Cupboard not only had it in stock, but I was able to buy it for a fraction of what I would have paid for it down the street.
