The food is good enough, but the many other reviews saying they are understaffed are true. There are basically two women managing the whole place. There is no hostess or bartender. They do it all. It took 60 minutes for our table to receive 6 drinks, they arrived one by one over the 60 minutes. All 6 of our main course dishes arrived before the drinks did. The chefs crank out the food, throw it up on the counter, then ring the bell loudly til one of the women runs to grab it. Our main course dishes also arrived one by one. Whoever owns this place needs serious restaurant management training. Done elsewhere.

Food was mediocre. Service was slow due to there only being one overworked girl running the floor. She seemed to struggle with the menu and wine list, but I got the impression she wasn't a native English speaker, so I can forgive that. I can't forgive management not having more help for her, though. Probably will not visit again, and will not recommend it.

It wasn't good, we ordered appetizers and was eating it for few minutes into it, received our main dish. We told the waitress that we just got our appetizers and not ready for the entree. She took it back and once we were ready, she brought it back. We ordered fish so it was very cold and it was super bad. We won't be going there anymore

They only had 3 waiters/waitresses and one cook.... And the place was packed. No one met you at the door. No one honored the reservation and the cook was a snotty brat.... The only nice person was the poor girl who was on her second day on the job. The one male waiter was horrid... disrespectful and lazy. He took our drink order (one glass of wine and one shot of bourbon)....then it took 15min to get the order. He grabbed the bourbon bottle, set it on top of the bar and then walked away to clean a table, went to the restroom, poured waters for a table and then stood behind the bar leaning up against the counter talking to the new girl while she was frantically busting her butt. I had to flag him down to remind him of our drinks... the whole time the huge bourbon bottle is sitting on the bar-top counter. Food never arrived after 45min of sitting there. The couple next to us finally got their salad after being there 1.5hrs... this place was a disaster. The only person trying was the new girl. Nobody else cared.

It was good food. Our server didn't come back often to refill our water. Our appetizer arrived when the meal arrived. My husbands meal arrived way after everyone else had been served. It was like something happened or it was forgotten but there was no communication with us. There was another big party having a birthday. And when people arrived for that party, other people in the restaurant, we're telling them where to go sit because there was no one there to greet them. We were just two families having dinner together. It was complicated for her to even split the check and so we just took care of paying each other ourselves. We probably would've had more glasses of wine, but she didn't come back.

Valentines Day dinner and the restaurant was packed and appeared to be understaffed. Our reservation didn't seem to be needed as people were being seated ahead of us who had none. Our server was sweet but harried for our entire stay. After we ordered, the appetisers and entrées came out about 30 minutes later, all at once. The food was dropped hastily and the server took off before we could get a word in. The food was decent, and with the location of our table right near the window of the kitchen it appeared the kitchen staff was having a fun night, which we appreciated. The bar next door to the restaurant was hosting a “private party” that smokeboxed their whole place, and some of that wafted over periodically so we were treated to some contact-high with dinner. That's not a complaint. It's a people business and I think Chianti did the best they could for a busy Valentines Day night, but falls short of an excellent review.

Took a chance on this place, as it was convenient to where we were staying NYE. Glad we did! We came for an early dinner, so they were not busy at all yet. All the food we ordered (calamari app, Lamb, and salmon for dinner, Lee's special Afagatto for dessert) was delicious! Not over cooked, and sauced nicely. Lee was an excellent server and had us try a number of tasty wines before finally deciding. We will be back! I hope they continue do do well.

We really wanted to like this as a local Italian restaurant. Unfortunately, it didn't meet our expectations and I am shocked by the 4 stars. We had an early dinner to avoid the crowds and because I noticed several reviews had to do with bad service. Our server was quiet as a mouse when he did come to our table. He didn't make our drinks correctly - old fashion and aperol spritz. The aperol spritz was in a martini glass with a cherry. I explained it needed to be on the rocks in a wine glass, he said we don't have enough glasses to make cocktails... curious because it is an Italian restaurant that doesn't have enough wine glasses and you don't know how to make a proper Italian drink? Our appetizer - salmon carpaccio was tasteless and over a bed of arugula. Salad - beets and buratta. Again bland over a bed of arugula. We sat by the service window and watched several meals waiting to be delivered, not under a heat lamp. Unfortunately, our food was no exception to this and I watched our entrees sit in the window for at least 8-10 minutes. Needless to say, my food was COLD and I told our waiter, he brought my food back and I could see that the cooks were extremely annoyed with my reaction to asking for a warm meal...my husbands lobster pasta was good but SWIMMING in sauce that had set to a gravy because of sitting for so long to be served. We took a couple bites and got a box to leave. By this time the servers really running around trying to get a handle on the situation. It was only 7 when we left The overall setting was bizarre because there was a bar next door with the music playing and you could hear the bass playing next door. I think this restaurant has real potential if they could hire some staff that know what they are doing, they need a skilled bartender, a hostess and a food runner. The two servers wore the hats of all the latter. Or, have staff that can handle the stress of multitasking. Good luck future food diners!

New Year's Eve last minute reservation, had great reviews but was disappointed. The food was sub par. Was given bread with olive oil in the beginning. The rolls looked like the dinner rolls you get from the grocery store and they were squished and cold. The olive oil had no other seasoning or garlic so straight oil olive is gross. The plates weren't warm, asked for veggies with my dish and was given pasta. Tasted the pasta and it was cold so I wouldn't have eaten it anyways. Our server quickly brought the veggies and they were delish! Our server was fabulous, an older guy who was bald. He was working his tail off and made our experience enjoyable but I won't be back as the food wasn't that good.

This is one of my favorite places to go. First, the food is authentic Italian cuisine. I can say that because I've been to Italy many many times. Second, the staff are just delightful! And third I love the energy of the atmosphere.

Our server ( Lee) was a joy. Fun, knowledgeable, and patient. The food was top shelf. They didn't try to re invent the wheel, and the execution and flavors were excellent. Ambiance was fair. Prices were reasonable. Portions were nice. Overall, a nice experience. We will be back. Maybe we'll try the Kirkland location next? Cheers.

After my husband and I had appetizers here last year that were wonderful we've been wanting to go back. With friends in town we thought this was a perfect opportunity. Unfortunately, we apologized to them the entire time. With a bigger party(10) we expected service to be slower but this was excessive and rude. 3 martinis were ordered that were made incorrectly after a 20 minute wait. When we let them know that, the drinks were taken back to the bar without an offer to have them remade or to have something else made. Half the table got their meals at a time and when 1 meal was delivered so late that it was clearly forgotten we were lied to about the oven size instead of owning that it was a mistake. There was no offer to discount it. We were able to see the heated exchange between the waiter and the cook when we asked about it the first time. Water had to be requested 3 times and the bills were completely incorrect, with double meals, the returned drinks charged, and pasta that "came with the meal" was up charged which was more than the menu price. The food, was delicious but I won't recommend anyone pay for poor treatment.

I ate here for dinner with a friend, a rather later in the evening meal. The place was packed, but service was good and the food was excellent. The antipasto tray (the meat one) was more than enough to share with two people. I wasn't feeling a 100% hungry, so I ordered a personal pizza which was very good (and even good cold a few hours later).

First let me say I never write restaurant reviews. I should but for whatever reason I don't. I have to make an exception for Chianti in Everett. we went there tonight as a party of four. Due to staffing issues affecting all businesses these days there was only one server and the restaurant was more than half full. I wish I could recall his name but I have never seen such grace under fire. He was so professional and friendly and I don't think a single customer left feeling like they weren't well taken care of. And now on to the food. Amazing and delicious are the descriptions that seem most appropriate. Each of the four of us have travelled extensively in Italy and we had a long conversation trying to decide if we had ever had better meals in Italy and we decided if we had it was rare. everything we ordered was delicious and very authentic. If you love great food and great wines at a good price in a nice homey atmosphere don't miss this gem.

I made a reservation for a family party of 6 well in advance and received confirmation. Upon on-time arrival, the restaurant was packed with people waiting out the door and every table full. There wasn't anyone actively working at the front so we had to flag down a waiter who checked us in. We stood there for 20 minutes without anyone from the restaurant talking to us again. We grabbed another waiter to ask when we'd be seated and he said he had no idea and someone at the restaurant had just seated anyone in line when they opened, regardless of whether or not they had reservations. No apology or potential solution was provided at any point. We ended up walking out and grabbing dinner at Taco del Mar across the street where the service was significantly better. The food we saw coming out of the kitchen at Chianti looked nice but unfortunately we will never have an opportunity to find out if it's actually good or not because we will not be going back.
