Been coming here for nearly 9 years . Food on average is good to very good. However in the last couple visits they are getting cheap. No extra salsa , can't purchase. Plus the manager / maybe owner is a super tool! Been that way for years but even worse now. Went to Everett location, asked for a xtra salsa and tortillas no charge. This place can't even servve water after being Asked 4x then want to charge extra. OMG FOR TAP WATER. Stay away!

This restaurant has seen better days. Too expensive and the taste is not there.

In short A-OK family-style Mexican spot with Americanized food and a solid bar program. In long This is technically an Everett address, but not to be confused with the downtown Everett spot that has a huge tequila list and gets packed before Tips games (many reviews mix up these two). This is a big friendly clean and bright rabbit warren of dining room after dining room, wrapped around side stations, bar seating, and so on. They definitely welcome the sports bar crowd, with flat screens in many of the rooms. It's a long menu of familiar dishes with some traditional touches and some American touches. Big fat burritos, enchiladas, carne plates, and so on. Decent selection of margaritas with a few more-premium tequilas knocking around. We came in for a friend's birthday on a bright sunny spring day. They pushed 4 tables together for us, but the weather left the rest of the place so slow that they never missed the seating. We had 3 servers off and on throughout the meal. Always friendly, always nice, with quick answers to every question. Food was solid enough, though very mildly seasoned. They did bring out a dish of hotter salsa with a bunch of freshly-chopped habaneros in there; that lit things up a bit. We had to ask over and over for hot sauces, bean dip, and other odds and ends. They did keep working at it and did not give up on us, but the turnaround on pretty much everything seemed at least 5-10 minutes longer than it needed to be on a busy day, and a couple things never showed up at all. And it was not a busy day. In the end the two of us (within the group) were out the door for 2 cocktails, a cup of coffee, and 2 entrees for $106. Not really my idea of a bargain but that's kinda where things land at most places these days.

The fact they don't respond to reviews good or bad says a lot about this place. From the most recent reviews I can see that this place has gone down hill and it truly has. We have eaten there for years and went for a special occasion the other night and it was very disappointing to say the least. Only one round of chips salsa and beans. The portion size has been cut down to bare minimum. I had chicken enchiladas and no more nice shredded chicken, just chopped up chunks. No more nice shredded salad just some kind of whatever they threw in the middle. Not coming back.

I just ate at El Paraiso Mexican Grill. The chips and salsa were great. They were super fresh, and the salsa had a nice kick. But the real star of the show was the carne asada. It was cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. I have to say, it was one of the best I've had in the state. If you like Mexican food, you should try this place.

Was here last weekend & it was an overall BAD experience. Service was poor, waitress smacked her gum the entire time & seemed visibly bothered to be working & taking our order. I felt every reasonable request was met with frustration on her end. And because she didn't complete the initial request, we had to keep asking. Napkins, more chips & salsa- normal requests. Drink refills were never offered. Portion sizes are also non existent. Rice & beans on the plate was a laughable portion. Not even a 1/4 cup. Remove the cheese on top & there's literally no beans underneath it! We used to love the place. They are fast but clearly the goal is to serve as little food as possible, get people in & get people out. We felt so uncomfortable here. No plans to go back. Save yourself the irritation & feeling like they don't like you & go to El Mariachi for really good Birria tacos.

I asked for a 2nd salsa, didn't get one. We were still eating chips, salsa and beans but were getting low. I asked again for a 2nd salsa. The waiter took the chips, beans and salsa even though we were actively eating, almost out of our hands. We confronted him on it when he returned and he said he would have to charge us if he brought us a 2nd salsa while we still had one at the table.

Horrible experience, people that eat there are rude and took my mother's chair when she got up for the restroom. Felt rushed from the moment we sat down that they constantly kept coming by trying to take stuff as we were eating it. Wouldn't blend my margarita... not very thrilled with the place.Kid-friendliness: they have a kids menu

Was never great, but now I'm never going back. It was barely busy, and the staff was rude. Plus now they charge for chips and salsa, which is sad because the salsa was the only thing making up for how crummy their beans and rice have always been.

We've been eating here for years. Decided to get it to go tonight. Unfortunately, even though the food has been great in the past, the lack of common sense this time is causing me to rethink coming here ever again. If you're giving people chips and salsa, why wouldn't you include the bean dip? Was told we'd need to pay 5.99 for a small container but I can get a side order of beans for 5.25. They "added extra salsa" for us though. I don't WANT *salsa*. I don't want EXTRA salsa. Just wanted the same bean dip they serve you complimentary in the restaurant . It doesn't make any sense. Produce is more expensive than beans and they'll give EXTRA of that. What about the free tortillas they give out all night? Way to be super cheap. So thanks for the complimentary chips with no bean dip after spending $100 on to go dinner. Guess I'll just grab a table with the free chips and dips and order food to go from now on. If Andreas wants to give me a call and explain the logic behind this, I would perhaps change my review.

I keep giving these guys a chance, but not anymore! Every time I come here, the host, which is the manager, is always so unfriendly and grumpy!! Also, they are not consistent whatsoever. For example, every time I order the Mexican pizza it’s different. One time it will be made with cheddar cheese. The next time it will be with mozzarella and other times it’s cut up in little triangles like quesadillas and no cheese at all. The staff is equally unfriendly. Everyone acts like they really hate their jobs! I most certainly will not ever be back.

We've eaten here for years and for some reason things have changed and not for the better. Had chicken enchiladas and the chicken was nothing more than chopped up chunks of un seasoned chicken breast. No more nice shredded chicken seasoned nicely. Prices are too high for what you get and they rush you in and out as fast as they can but keep pushing drinks, Not going to this location anymore. Very disappointed.

We went there on 1/19/24 for lunch. The waitstaff was great. The food had very little meat mostly onions and peppers. But when we ask for another dish of salsa in addition to the one we had. They said no only one very small dish per table. We said we would pay for the extra dish. They said they would check. The manager came over with the second dish but warned us they will never do that again. The restaurant was very empty so not having enough dishes was not an issue. There are many great Mexican restaurants in the area. I do not need to feel like a criminal for food that is ok at best. I recommend you choose another Mexican restaurant.
