Waste of so much food.. nothing is like edible everything is cold and not at all Indian flavours…Cold chicken cold samosas cold naans dry .. what not even just steamed rice is dry.. there is no less than 1 star I would love to give zero.. I don’t really give negative reviews at all but this made me to do.Sorry guys we came with hungry and disappointed us very badly

Had the lamb Rogan Josh - it was very watery and not the consistency of curry at all. I was pretty disappointed and the spice level was not right. I had ordered spicy and it seemed like it was hastily put together with some pepper because the spice was not even distributed throughout the curry. Butter chicken was also watered down and bland. I was surprised to see that this place had so many high reviews only to be disappointed like this. I'd recommend checking out other Indian restaurants in the area. Did not experience the service or restaurant ambiance as I had done take out. Won't be ordering from here ever again.

I stopped by here around noonish, I had my nine year old. I asked the shop employee, he stated that he was the only person there. I asked him how much he replied $18, cool. Then I asked how much for my kid, he repeated $18, really? He informed me that he was the only person there and the owner was out, and all he could do was shrug and gave me a look of, take it or leave it. The food was miserable looking, leftovers from the lunch rush. So I left. Blew my friggen mind. I guess you people wanted that food more then I did, by the way, there was no other customers there.

Butter and Spice (formerly Mahal) has been our favorite since we discovered it in 2017. We are vegetarian and we typically order a paneer kurchan and either dal tadka or malai kofta with tandoori roti (or garlic naan sometimes) and occasionally some other vegetable if we have guests over. They do a great job with our requests to keep it mild and/or spicy at times depending on ordering it for ourselves and/or for kids. We order at least once a month from this restaurant and have not been disappointed. We adore the fact that when dining in, they also give onions and such on the side which as an Indian I love and reminds me of service we get in India. We highly recommend this place!!Vegetarian options: There are plenty to choose from. I also recommend calling them to check if they can make something vegetarian that’s not on the menu.Kid-friendliness: They make adjustments for our two young ones and both our kids love their food.

It was a very pleasing surprise to stumble across Butter and Spice when we recently moved into the neighborhood, as we had been craving good "Indian food". Butter and, and Spice is not Indian, it is Pakistani, with recipes from the owners' grandmothers, and it shows. Everything we have ordered here over the last 2 years has been simply excellent, and always served with a very genuine smile... These are people who are justifiably proud of what they serve. Rather than try to describe everything, I will offer: the Mixed Tandoori Grill - a wide selection of tandoor-grilled items, including chicken, prawn, lamb and kebab, on saffron rice, with garnishes. Everything cooked to perfection, and the chicken moist and flavorful, not the usual dry and flavorless tandoori chicken! Don't forget to order the naan, too!Vegetarian options: Made our vegan friends happy!
Some of the best Indian food I've ever eaten! He was a tremendous host, friendly, charming and food was outstanding! We had wonderful chai, the garlic nun was fabulous! The entrees we out of this world incredible! This is a true hidden gem in Everett! The host was personable, and talked about his country, the food origins and extremely knowledgeable about many subjects! The smell of food permeated the restaurant and proved to be one of the best choices in dining that we've made in a long time! 10+ stars for a culinary delight and we will back soon! We also had delicious leftovers that made my mouth dance with joy at every bite of deliciousness! Thank you! ❤️
