Right by the river our first time here at El Caporal in a historical building..Great service..friendly and attentive our server was taking care of everybody with a smile.. and the food is so so good, that I ordered an extra plate for home. We had Chile Relleno and Carne Asada... very yummy. Next time when we are in the area we will be back for more..Gracias El Caporal.

Apparently I had a different experience than most other reviewers. Service was slow. 2 tables who got there after us were served before and tended to more. I couldn't even call my drink a margarita... extremely sweet and I'm convinced there was no tequila. Costco pre-mix is better than their Cadillac margarita. I had steak and shrimp which was good but portions are small. Based on the other reviews I was expecting a better experience. I can appreciate the family aspect of the business but I was left disappointed and will not be returning or recommending.

I hadn’t been to the Fall City restaurant in a few years and it was good back then and then I went last night. Totally disappointed at the severity of the decline in the quality of food at the restaurant. The refried beans were light, runny and literally looked like puke. The chile relleno was nasty and when I spoke to the waitress about it she said that it’s because they are real chiles now and everyone likes it that way????? I’ve always gone to the one in North Bend for close to 30 years and they were always excellent but I looked at the reviews of the Fall City one and they were 4.0 and then I looked at the reviews of the North Bend one last night and they are only 3.8 so I’m afraid that the expansion has caused a decline in their quality. Then I find out that there is yet another one in Maple Valley. You know that old saying! “ It’s not about the quantity, it’s about the quality!” Really sad to say Goodbye to El Caporal!!!

Located on the main strip of Fall City, it is one of a very few options in the area. That said, it's exactly what I like about a "cheap Mexican" restaurant. I don't mean cheap in a derogatory way, but rather it doesn't do "artisanal quac on blue corn tortillas" yadda yadda. It's just good, no fuss Mexican food. It was very good and extremely well priced.We will certainly be back as the menu was large enough to give us options for hundreds of visits!
