Teriyaki was soooo delicious but their forks were the biggest surprise. They didn't us those flimsy sporks and although we were insulted by not receiving chopsticks (we're Asian) these forks were better than getting chopsticks!!!

I enjoy trying different teriyaki restaurants. This place was awful. Chicken teriyaki was burnt. Orange Chicken had no flavor. The boba tea, idk even what that was.... Totally gross. Ended up throwing it away. Was super disappointed

I’m a regular at this place- always friendly folks, great food, and hearty portions. Like everything else- prices have doubled in the last couple of years but I’d rather spend $14 on chicken teriyaki with rice and salad or chicken yakisoba- enough for dinner and lunch the next day than the same amount for a burger and fries!

Omg! Wow! 5/5, 10/10, I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this place for their spicy chicken teriyaki and chicken katsu. I go to so many teriyaki places and always ask for my chicken “well-done” and no place actually listens to my request - but the owner here did and it was so clear! The chicken was juicy and crispy! Katsu was crispy as well! Looks like I found my new teriyaki place. I’ll make the drive out 30 minutes to come here every time. Yum! ?

This is my favorite local teriyaki spot. Very kind staff and good food. The chicken and the katsu are both very good. That’s our go-to. You can get extra rice instead of salad if you want. They ask your preference. Quick service.

Great service from some really nice people. Food portions are good. They are willing to give more rice instead of salad if you ask. Prices are what you would expect they should be. I regularly dine here with my kids and have never had a bad experience. Keep up the good work and highly recommend this place to everyone.Parking: Always plenty of parking available and wheelchair accessible as well.

5 stars for the service the family is so friendly and they don't nickle and dime you for every extra sauce or dressing. The place is small but the food is good and service is great.

Hak San Teriyaki (Jan 2024)While I have eaten at this place for a long time, and I just discovered that it has undergone a change of management or ownership recently. The “New” Hak San has a more simplified menu than before, and the pricing remains very reasonable. Gone are the macaroni salad and stirfried cabbage and carrot vegetables, in comes a simple lettuce and carrot cold salad with dressing. The teriyaki sauce is now on the lighter side, but seems to be more flavorful. You will also not find any house prepared hot chili sauce; you get packages of Sriracha Chili Sauce packs instead if you request such.I've tried 3 different combos over 6 weeks - Teriyaki chicken and pork (very thin sliced) combo, Teriyaki chicken and Katsu {One of the best Katsu sauces I have ever tasted} combo, and Teriyaki Chicken and Beef (Thinly sliced too) combo. I must say that thismay be the best Teriyaki food place I've re-discovered for the past few years. It will now be my go-to if I have the craving. If you have not eaten here, or if it has been a while since you last ate here, do patronize this place and provide some feedback to everyone. I am confident you will not be disappointed with the food.Happy Eating !!!

Hadn't been here in quite awhile because it wasn't that great... BUT I had no idea there was a new owner now.. So with that in mind we gave them a shot and I'm glad we did! New owner was very friendly restaurant is nice and clean and the Spicy Chicken is the best in Federal Way believe me I've tried them all. And if you can handle it they have 5 star spicy? The gyozas are also very good. I've been craving more will be in soon!??

Best teriyaki I've ever had. This was my favorite place as a teenager. I live in Spokane now but whenever I'm in the area I always stop at Haksan. I highly recommend the spicy chicken teriyaki and my husband loves the chicken fried rice. Their Mac salad is the best ever. Ahhhhh I wish I was eating it as I'm typing this
