We ordered the most popular #31 Dak-galbi (spicy chicken with cabbage, rice cake & corn cheese on a hot plate). The sauce was good, just the right level of spicy with a little sweetness. But for portion wasn't big. For $35.99, it was only enough for 2 people with no leftover. I read from previous reviews about the service (or lack of) so just want to share my experience. We went on a Thursday night around 5:30PM, and was one of two tables. The lady (who rarely smiles) told us to take a seat, and later took our order and cooked the food on the hot plate at table side for us. She came back several times to check on the food, and repeatedly smiled at my baby (not us adults). We also asked for hot water to heat up the milk bottle, but couldn't do it ourselves because there was no container large enough to hold the hot water. Though looking a bit annoyed, the lady took the bottle to heat up in the back. To be honest, it's just the Asian/Korean way. They will help you, but you may not feel like they want to lol. Also, you get a coupon for a free chicken chip for checking in. But we were told that was from the previous owner, and they don't make that item no more currently.

Just visiting Seattle and I’m so surprised to find such a bastion of Korean delights situated in a humble plaza. Things will never be quite the same and I mean that in a good way. You can’t go wrong with a place like this. Afterwards, please feel free to patronize the nearby billiards or singing room. It’s a hit!

I've been to this place twice and both were different experiences. The first time, I went at night with my sister around 9pm. We had a hankering for Korean food after watching the BTS Live view concert at The Commons movie theater, and this was one of the few Korean spots open that late. Walked in before closing, and was accommodated right away. My first impression of this place was the traditional cozy Korean "mom and pop" restaurant feel, which was nice. We ordered the Honey Garlic fried chicken and tteokbokki. The chicken was OKAY. It lacked flavor compared to one's that I've had at other Korean restaurants. The tteokbokki was amazing. The sauce had a perfect balance of spicy and sweet. It also came with fish cake mixed in, which was soo good. The service was a little lacking. The water is self serve, other than that don't expect anyone to check on you and ask if everything is okay, bc you're not going to get that. The lady that served us (who I'm assuming is the owner) sat at the table next to us and watched TV, and didn't really checking up on other customers. I also noticed that her demeanor changed a bit when an older Korean group walked in. She seemed significantly more accommodating and friendly if you were Korean/ spoke Korean which was a little off putting. Other than that portion sizes were enough for my sister and I to take home leftovers. The second time, I returned for the tteokbokki with my husband and daughter. Google said it opened at 2pm so my husband and I sat in the car and waited for the "open" sign to light up. It was already 2:15 and it was never turned on, so I decided to call. The owner answered the phone and I asked if they were open. She said yes, and just hung up lol. We walked in and kind of just stood at the front waiting for someone to greet us. She saw us and gestured us to sit anywhere. Not even a hello, or smile on her face. If anything she looked annoyed that we were there. We sat at our table and waited for her to come over. She saw my toddler playing with chopsticks like drums and told her to stop playing with it because she could get hurt. I understood her concern, but my daughter was gently tapping on her plate and not in an obnoxious way, but okay its coming from a place of worry I guess? Anyways, when we were ready to order she walks over and says "what do you want?", making my husband and I feel more awkward/ uncomfortable. We ordered the soy garlic chicken/ original Korean fried chicken this time, and of course the tteokbokki. The sauces on the chicken were delicious, crunchy and full of flavor. The tteokbokki was delicious as expected, but the portion was smaller, then when I went the first time. The service was lacking, if not worse, than my previous experience. Again, we noticed she was way more cheerful and friendly towards her Korean customers. If the service was WAY WAY WAYYY better, then I'd add this to my list of regular Korean spots. Unfortunately the uninviting environment has left a bad taste in my mouth.

First time here and took a chance with a big order. Great portions and great service. I’ve eaten in Korea before and am used to their restaurant service but for what this place is, it’s fine. No part timers just seemed like the owners running the show and they helped the other customers just fine. On a busy night I can expect some delays but that would be the same situation anywhere.Back to the food, it was fine. I wouldn’t go here expecting the finest cuisine but just for a low key meal, I was satisfied.
So yummy! A really good late night stop, staff is so sweet, feels very home made. Soy garlic chicken was 10/10 ?

The honey garlic fried chicken was delicious, but even better is their kimchi fried rice!! The kitchen is mostly visible from the dining area, which appears to be kept very clean and tidy. Great food and great service! Highly recommend!

This place will always reminds me of Korea. It's a fun korean spot with friends that serves korean street foods. The korean spicy chicken with corn cheese will always be a good option to pick at this spot. They serve a good portion for a group of 4-5 people. Jokbal is expensive. Since it is a special item and not on the menu it will cost you $50 for a order, but it was good though. Spicy cold noodle salad was great too. I love the texture of the noodle but I kind of wish there was more noodles. Overall: Service and food was great. My friends and I will return to try out the options.

I think I paid 23 dollars for a quail, not a full chicken I ordered. It tasted like a quail as well. That's the smallest full chicken I've ever seen.
