Everything was extremely rushed ND this was by far the worst 'show" I have ever seen at a Japanese steakhouse. It was also terribly expensive. Because of our group size they automatically added 18%. 2 steak dinners with fried rice and 2 large beers was almost $200.Iron Chef in Puyallup is a way better value and show.

I don't think it's possible to gush enough about this place. I've been seeing it on the side of 320th for like 10 years but I finally checked it out and wow! The chef was amazing and skilled, the food was excellent! Now, all the cellophane on the tips of all the furniture was a little weird/tacky.

Our cook Rome was amazing and it was awesome to meet the Owner who is a super nice gentleman! Couldn't recommend this place more, been coming for 7 years and I plan on keeping that streak going!!

The only issue I had was the wait time. The wait to be seated, even with a reservation, and the wait time that it took to get everything going. Other than that, I loved our waiter, he was excellent. Very attentive and friendly. And our chef was phenomenal! Funny, friendly, fantastic cook. They were both great!! Only recommendation is to plan for the extra wait time you will have, regardless of a reservation or not.
Always a delicious dinner and upbeat evening. Chef was funny and food was delicious. The entire table had a good time. I enjoy it when strangers can eat together and the company is jovial! Seafood is top notch as always!

We have been going to Tokyo since it opened. The service was not great the last time we went about a week ago. The food was good but it seems like they are watering down their orange sauce, not much flavor to it and was much thinner than before. Probably won't be our pick for a family dinner anymore. Too expensive for what you get.
Went here for the first time with a large group. The food was ok, unremarkable for a Teppanyaki house. The calamari steaks looked very much like the ones available from Costco.

Ambience..it's always a great time being seated next to strangers, especially kids who haven't experienced tepanyaki style service. To see their eyes go wide as the chefs light up the grill. Such a fun, interactive experience. This was our second time here in the past few weeks, we actually had reservations at another steak place and canceled last minute to come here, not a mistake. James was our chef and was fun and entertaining the whole experience through. I had filet and lobster, honestly one of the best lobsters I've had. The butter and citrus to finish was chef kiss! And the filet, ordered medium, was cooked absolutely to perfection. If you are looking for a show AND delicious steak, seafood cooked to perfection, look no farther than here. *only side note, they are working on timed tables to accommodate parties together at each grill so keep that in mind, smaller parties are set next to strangers, but isn't that half the fun? To experience a food being cooked communal and meeting new people.
I eat here about every three months. This time was a disappointment because of the cramped table. I sat at a corner and may as well have shared a plate with the other person on the corner. I ordered water three times and still had to get up and get my own. Seems like if you don't have it when you sit down, you ain't gunna get it. The fried rice was made for 11 guests and yet there were only three eggs used? Bidenomics? SHRINKFLATION? We will likely look for another Japanese steak house for the future.

It was fun. We could ask: do it again for showmanship skills and techniques. Our chef was easy to talk to and share conversation. Spoiled us. This is a repeater.
