Staff is amazing. Polite, quick, and hospitable. However I’ve never had to salt a burger after it’s been served, but none of the food here had any flavor from the potato’s and eggs, to the burgers and fries. The food has massive potential, but needs better work when it comes to building a good flavor profile.

I took my teenagers here on a Friday night and it was great! The service provided by Linda was fast (but not rushed), friendly, and made us feel very welcome. The restaurant was clean and had an older American diner feel.I was in the mood for breakfast (served all day). I had the chicken, fried steak and eggs, and the gravy on the chicken was wonderful! All of our portions were good sized, and the food was really good! I’m sad it took me so long to find The Great American Diner in Issaquah.Parking: This is on busy front street in Issaquah, so there is limited parking on the street and some parking behind the business but many of the spots are reserved.

Have visited twice, the last time was for a birthday celebration. The host was very friendly and accommodating, and the food was great for the price. It is a small space, so if you go during a busy time expect there to be a bit of noise and a tight fit.

We have eaten here many times and our family keeps wanting to go back. Food is delicious, not to mention the portions are huge! Glen, the owner is one of the nicest guys. What a treasure right on Front St.

All of our food items were borderline inedible. How does this place remain open?

First visit, close to a location we were leaving. It’s typical diner food. Huge menu selections from all day breakfast to lunch to dinner. The food was mediocre. Not terrible. The salmon on my Cobb was weird. The salad was fresh. The Reuben was good, the ham scramble food. Affordable. Drinks whether hot tea, or soda was the same price. The people were very friendly and nice and service was great. Atmosphere was fine. The owner I believe was very friendly and attentive. Didn’t like the music playing on some sort of stereo or boom box. It was too loud.

It's a basic diner, so expectations were low. But service and food quality are way above average, with many of their dishes made fresh in house. Huge burger, well dressed. Hand dipped fish and chips with extra crispy fries. Highly recommended!

I had to run a lot of errands in Issaquah and decided to try this restaurant that is new in Issaquah but already has existed in Seattle before. I do not think I ever tried food at the Seattle location. I came in about 9 or 9:30 and I was surprised that the whole restaurant was empty but about 30 minutes, it got much busier. There was one friendly man serving everyone in the dining room and seemed to generally be on top of service and all customers. I ordered corned beef hash with hash browns, poached eggs, English muffin, tomato juice and coffee. The meat part of the corned beef hash was good and size was very good. The bottom hash browns were good and crispy but the upper hash browns with the corned beef seemed undercooked and looked and tasted like spaghetti at first. They wanted to cook the poached egg firmer but I told them I like a runny egg when I have poached eggs. The muffin was perfect. I ordered coffee and V8 or tomato juice. The coffee was very good and brewed well. At first, the man said they had V8 juice but said he had only had tomato juice. Not sure what brand it was but it was not very good. Service was good and the man knew how to check on everyone and needs. Dining room looked retro. I heard the music that was like a retro track and repeated while I was in. Colors nice in the dining room, and I am not sure if it was from the previous restaurant (which I never ate at) but some places needed more cleaning. Benches and tables great, but I saw mirrors on the walls were dirty and all had fingerprints on them. The unisex bathroom had the same issue. It looked like the bathroom needed a paint job and little work but on there, rest was good.

I've visited twice now. Both good experiences! Loved the fish and chips! Also enjoyed the Ribeye, mashed potatoes and veg. (When you order medium rare, you get medium rare! And the veg is hot and al dente like veg should be in my book.) I love that they have a full bar and the prices are reasonable for top shelf brands. Definitely will be back as the scrambles look delicious!
