I go here about ever 2 months when my wife is craving good old carnitas burritos. There came a point where I lost my favorite water bottle and couldn't find it anywhere in my house. About 2-3 months later, I stop in La Venadita as usual to get some tamales. The manager sees me and says "Hey boss, did you lose this?" and pulls my water bottle out from under the counter, where presumably he had kept it safe specifically waiting for me to return. 5/5 service. Food's pretty good too.

First visit, winner of a place, tasty and delicious, very friendly and quick service, lots of nice pleasant art paintings throughout which also scores a lot of points with me overall very pleased and would recommend.

They always have a back in 15 minutes sign and come back hours later

Food was not good. the tacos were either salty or needed salt. salsa was water and had no flavor. service was not good, lady that gave me my food was not the nicest. NOT REAL MEXICAN FOOD

Recommended by our friend, it doesn't disappoint. The dishes were freshly made, the grilled beef steak is tender and juicy , the shrimp is a perfect match with the rice. On top of it, the owner is very friendly and kept on checking on us since it's our first time. It's a very well balanced and nutritious meal.

From the outside this place isn't the most attractive looking but the food makes up for it. We ordered the tacos and the carne asada and they were authentic. The meat had a good grill on it and the spices and the flavors were spot on. Will be back here.

The staff seem like such wonderful people and got the food out to us extremely quick. All of the items are well-priced and has good-size portions-- not too much and not too little. Tasted very good :) The restaurant felt like I was invited into someone's home, very welcoming environment.

Ordered the beef, chicken, pork and chorizo tacos and they were all disappointing: very dry with small shriveled pieces of meat that looked like they had been cooked a long time ago and then microwaved.

Small but authentic tiendita with great selection of hispanic dry goods & spices, cremas, cheeses, empanada dough, paletas, beverages, and bakery items.

They always show up late to open the store. No consistent time when they will be open or when they will close early.

La torta de milanesa tiene muy pocos pedacitos de milanesa, solo como la mitad de la torta. La gente muy amable y el lugar muy lindo.

Super friendly staff, great portions and good, no frills Mexican. I was there at 2pm on a Tuesday and the place still had a good crowd.

My friend was craving Mexican food, so we decided on this place to pick up food. I decided to get nachos with lengua and she got the three Tostadas de Camarones. She thought that the shrimp (ceviche) should have been more sour, and they did give a slice of lime, and that the shrimp shouldn't have been that cooked. My nachos were decent, but it didn't come with the lengua meat I ordered. It tasted more like the cow cheeks or something, and I really was looking forward to having nachos with lengua, which I haven't ever done before. But staff was really friendly. Maybe will come try something else.

Was craving authentic mexican food while in the area and stumbled across this taqueria that did not disappoint! We ordered a carne asada burrito, chicken nachos and a chicken torta. Portions were huge and delicious. Salsas yummy, green and red that was a little spicier. Outside looks deceivingly small next to a hispanic grocery store but inside quite large and spacious, order at the counter style. Older gentleman taking my order was so friendly, called me "mija" in Spanish which was so endearing and reminded me of my childhood in Eastern Washington. I took one star off only because along with everything else in life, prices have gone up and I'd say this is probably more of a $$ rather than $ price point but worth it. We are happy to support local business and so glad we decided to give this a try rather than the chain Cafe Rio next door. Will be back to try tacos and more when in the area again!
