I have been going to this place for years! Since the mid 90's and have seen it turn over with multiple new owners. The current owners running this place now is by far the absolute worst as far as quality of food! Taste NOTHING like it use to.I ordered a chicken katsu for dinner.....chicken was VERY dry, bread crumbs burnt or over cooked and macaroni salad was so watered down. Absolute HORRIBLE and the worse chicken katsu meal I have ever gotten from there and me going there as of today will be THE last time. Signing off on date of 2/5/2024 at 8pm.Time to find a new teriyaki joint!!

I will say that Tokyo Town "use* to be good.... The son running the front and family in back cooking. They definitely sold the place to another family or business people. The Mac salad is definitely not what it used to be and honestly the food in general is just "ok" now. The family and I used to go out of the way to come here... However, I think that time has changed and will be moving on to something closer and hopefully better. I got the almond chicken and it was the oddest meal I have ever had. It just wasn't good. The people who had the chicken teriyaki said it had changed and was just alright. It's truly sad it has changed so much and a shame that I'll be finding somewhere else to order from

Food is okay, but service can be better. Lady cashier with glasses is not friendly and seemed a bit annoyed that I interrupted her conversation with her friends that she was sitting with. She also gave an attitude that I didn't tip. I didn't recognize any of the staff that was there. The Chicken Katsu didn't taste the same and the whole vibe was off. Found out later the old owners sold it. Soo bummed. I look forward to this place every time I am in town.

Excellent quality and taste of food. Great value for cost. The service is top-notch! Was given a gift from the chef that brought back memories.

Food is okay. Service and environment is not friendly. It feels weird being there. Also notice women standing with same pair of gloves completing multiple tasks. I do infection control and that is big no. That’s extremely unhygienic. I tried it one time, I probably won’t be going back.

Been a while came back here and after negative reviews I want to experience myself if something changed.. today I ordered Mongolian beef with fried rice and its so so bc beef not tender and fried rice no flavor. Also got half general taos and half spicy chicken and first I was like did they burn the chicken bc I can smell the burnt but it's bc of spicy sauce it does burn easily. but noticed changed to spicy flavor which in a good way..it has korean chilli paste taste and it's spicier. also general taos was really good. and not oily batter. as you can see in my pic portion was huge..I couldn't even see the rice..lol. And about service I didn't had any issues.

The best chicken katsu we've ever had ! as good as Hawaii. I never really leave reviews but after trying Vancouvers terrible chicken katsu, I just had to rate Kent's yummy chicken katsu.

The Chicken Teriyaki, Chicken katsu and Beef are all amazing. Best Teriyaki in Kent. I've tried all the others this is #1.
