The owners abuse their staff and will watch store video to make sure staff are not putting too much boba or cheese foam in your drink, otherwise it will be taken out of their paychecks. I found this out as a customer and will be reporting DIY Tea Lab to the Labor Board. Plus, the drink you order looks nothing like the drink off the menu, just milk and tea, no fruit. Drinks are mostly milk with a couple tablespoons of 2 day old stale tea and watered down flavor syrup to flavor the milk. Peach, other flavors, etc... are barely there. Butterfly tea tastes old. The limes in your drink are rotten. Hate having to order off their stupid iPad. Staff looks like they want to die. There were desiccated old mummified gourds decorating the counter in spring. Parking lot in front is filled with urine bottles and the garbage in front smells like someone pooped and vomited in it, and probably dumped old fryer grease. What a dump with dump drinks.

Passed by here a few times on my way to work and got curious. Went in and ordered a white peach oolong fresh milk tea with lychee and boba. Was quite refreshing and the mix of white peach and lychee was really good. Was in and out in about 5 minutesSecond time around got a Taro with boba and jelly, a Brown Sugar milk with salted cream, and a matcha with oat milk and boba. All three were very good, made quick and efficient.Ruby rose black tea is really good with lychee added to it.I wouldn’t recommend the spam wrap, it’s small as heck for the price and was microwaved so hot that it was 10 minutes before I could eat it not to mention touch it. The plastic wrap was melted against it so I had to tear it open rather than pull it open.

One of my favorite boba places! Lots of customization and great ingredients. Super tasty. And the boba is usually really well cooked.The atmosphere isn't fantastic. It feels a little sterile and not private enough to have a nice conversation. Recommend this place for a sweet treat but not a date or study spot.

could not speak english or understand how to except my gift card. there was the new 21 savage album being played which i did like but its very inappropriate for kids. spam musubi was tasty i would recommend that. i’m still not happy i had to spend my own money cuz i was peer pressured into it. wish i could have used the gift card. there is christmas decorations still up. it’s january 14th. Nice customer service, but drinks don't have much flavor. Ordered a simple brown sugar milk with boba on regular sweet and received pretty much milk and some boba. Would have liked to give more stars, just can't do with a mediocre drink for a steep price.

I went there for the first time in many months. Giving them another try after previous bad experience being milk tea not having very strong tea. I am again disappointed because after expressing that we cannot tolerate milk very well and ask for possible milk substitute (which they have none), I walked away with a drink that only contains MILK!!! No tea. How is that even possible? Milk and brown sugar. I went back inside immediately to see if she can help and she said no. I ordered wrong. There is no one else in store and I hope they will learn why changing a small drink to help customer can potentially go a long way in regaining their fans... ugh. Lesson learned for me to triple check my order but definitely not returning to this place.

Be careful bringing your kids inside as the music playing is not always kid safe. Was just in there today and the song playing was full of pretty atrocious language. Definitely fouls the atmosphere.
DIY's boba is chewy but doesn't have the sweetness to it like HappyLemon or ShareTea, so I order drinks with the crystal boba instead. The crystal boba also doesn't taste bland if you don't finish your drink and store it in the fridge overnight.I always order online so that I can just pick up my drinks right when I arrive. If you order inside the wait can be ~5 minutes or longer if there are other orders assured of yours.4 outta 5, because they should consider a name change since it's not "DIY."

This really is the DIY Tea Lab because she told me I could make it myself. I ordered the Taroberry smoothie with Boba.Maybe she was annoyed because I asked her to put the Boba on the side, or to make sure I got all of my drink but she told me that it would be better if I made it at home. I told her I like the quality here, but ok.This was my first and last time here. The drink and the Boba were good though.Edit: she’s right, mine came out better at home
