“Stopped on my way through La Conner on a bike ride early on a Saturday morning. Fantastic Americano and was able to fill my water bottles. All sorts of awesome indigenous artwork, stickers, ceramic mugs, books, all in the coolest little cafe, I was in a bit of a rush to get back on the road so I didn’t get a chance to check everything out and didn’t have the means to take anything with me but will definitely be stopping by next time I’m in town.“
“A gem hidden in plain sight. This little place is what every coffee shop strives to be: really friendly, a little funky, and serving great coffee that warms you up from the inside out. It's uniquely welcoming, with some salty stickers and signs that add to its character. The seating, comfortably old, invites you to sink in and stay awhile. It's a keeper.“

“Hands down best coffee in the PNW. They're all great baristas but if you luck up and get a coffee made by Amelia then you're in for a really special treat! I love this place, it's my favorite coffee stand in Washington. 10/10 recommend this place!“

“I love the food here. So much so they catered my reception rehearsal dinner at my wedding. Cannot go wrong with any sandwiches on the menu. Unfortunately lots of other people know this and the line sometimes is out the door, but they work fast and usually you get service in a half hour.“

“Bar none the best part of our outing to Anacortes today! Enjoyed a great Turkish coffee, was introduced by Zaza to his pistacia drink with rose syrup which was delicious and PERFECT for this blustery day!! We also splurged on some of his amazing assorted baklava and Turkish delight and OMG the baklava (and y'all I don't even like this in most situations, but this was heaven-sent). Zaza is a bright spot in Anacortes and it was lovely to meet him - we are looking forward to returning when his brick and mortar cafe is up and running as we know it'll be a lovely spot for everyone in the Skagit Valley to come hang out :)“
“Staff was wonderful! Cute little shop, and very acomidating when you bring in the littles. A little pricey but worth it! The caramel they sell is delicious! They also do samples.Small walk through 5-7 people would be a crowd but the staff is very nice and helps. Will return with my children and family.“

“Coffee that supports the community! Not only is the coffee great and the servers friendly, the owner Aaron truly cares about the people of Anacortes. He graciously donates coffee every month to a program called Laundry Love which provides free use of the laundromat for our local neighbors. I have made the switch to Penguin Coffee because I want to support a local business that serves excellent coffee and cares about our town!“

“Just went through there this morning. I just recently started going there over other coffee stands because they make my drink perfectly. I had the best customer service. Didn’t catch her name but she put a smile on mine and my daughters face. Thank you for being so lovely this early in the morning.“

“I came here with a few of my girlfriends for a little pick-me-up and none of us really knew what to order. Kalista was so patient, kind, friendly, informative, and helped guide us to the best decision. She even surprised a couple of my friends based on their interests and they absolutely loved it. Thank you, Kalista!!!“

“New Owners are fantastic, have tons of character and seem like old friends! One of the few places I can find LaColombe coffee. Live Music and local art elevates the shop to “Salon Culture”! I’m a small town with many coffee shops, this is the standout.“
