The food was wonderful but the problem I have is I get alerts as soon as I use my debit card an they took extra money of my card ? my total came to 36.38 an they took 4784 off my card when I showed then they tryed to deny like they didn't know what I was talking about when I had my proof the receipt an the visual text that said transaction from koto teriyaki in the amount of 47 when the receipt said different an I didn't leave a tip it was a call in an pick up. So I told the whole restaurants lunch rush an a few people few meaning more then a usual amount notice the same problem so if u eat at this restaurant Please use cash an not debit or credit card ? I'm thinking ? there is some fraud going on an im contacting BBB just a heads up

The best way to describe this spot is as the perfect comfort Japanese food for anyone who grew up getting the basic take out as a kid.I came by to grab a to go plate on a busy and stressful day when I just needed something quick, and it honestly hit the spot. It’s good, basic Japanese take out, and it was a huge source of nostalgia and comfort for me at a time that I needed it.The store is very clean and organized and has a solid menu. The cashier is very friendly and an excellent multitasker. She was taking orders, setting out food for to go orders/mobile orders, and constantly answering the phone. She definitely stayed busy but never made any customers wait to be helped. My food was ready in 10-15 minutes and was actually ready faster than my partner’s food from a restaurant next door.It was quiet when I entered and picked up shortly after (it was about 4:30 PM). It was nice to see a good amount of foot traffic in a small restaurant. And yet it never got loud or rowdy.I ordered the chicken teriyaki and gyoza combo plate. It was exactly as you expect and hope for from chicken teriyaki.

In the 3 years my husband and I have been in Tacoma, this is hands down the best restaurant for this kind of food! The fried rice is AMAZING and my husband loves the beef short ribs :)

I remember when this was the best restaurant in Lakewood it even was in the news paper, this was our go to spot for years. Then years went by and I thought I would get stir fried vegetables the people taking my order kept laughing and I didn't know why, so I got my order drove to the Safeway parking lot to eat before I shopped and my stomach hurt I ran to the bathroom I had food poisoning. More years went by and I thought maybe the food will be better, I was wrong and they got my order wrong to, the food was disgusting I threw it out for the birds or raccoons at night, and every day I would look to see it had been eaten after 4 days it wasn't touched, something wasn't right the animals should of eaten it.I would never eat from that restaurant again

I love me some Asian food, and I have been to plenty of teriyaki places in the Lakewood area. But this is my absolute go-to when I don't feel like trying anything new and just want some fresh and reliably good food. Eggrolls, tell me a place that makes them better, I don't think there is one. All their fried rices are cooked fresh and to perfection. The chicken teriyaki... yummmmm. Their food is always served hot, and the portions are generous. Fried rice is packed to the brim.Their prices have gone up, like most food businesses. Since there are so many food pics, I am posting their most recent menu.I almost forgot. Both the ladies that work the front register are the sweetest.Also, the inside is pretty small, so we rarely eat in. I call in my order and it's ready for pick-up in 15. All around, truly great place!Parking: Shopping center parking lot that is never full.
Left a bad taste in my mouth. Tasted like cleaning soap with vinegar very gross! Never go here again thats all igot to say.

I really love this teriyaki restaurant, and this time they went over and beyond customer service, they were super nice and very clean inside , they took their time completing my order after I made a mistake in the name label meal and I was in the wrong and they made it without complaint I would definitely recommend this place, and this is a message that the costumer can not always be right.
