Great food, drinks, and staff!

the incredible wolf

We had a party of 5 adults and 2 children on a Saturday night, we stopped at a different Mexican restaurant in Lakewood on South Tacoma Way. They were not able to accommodate us. We called ahead to La Palma, just to make sure. La Palma graciously greeted us, immediately seated us and very kindly treated us like we were the only diners there (we weren't). We were served delicious food very quickly at a very reasonable price. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and will definitely return and highly recommend!!

I should have been here and upgraded this sooner. I came for lunch last week and was really happy. The food was hot, fresh and well prepared. Service was great! Our waiter had the whole place and everyone was served efficiently and quickly. Drinks were kept topped. This place is definitely back on my list. It could use an update to the interior but I rather like the old well used feel. Drinks: Coke products, lemonade and alcoholic beverages. Desert menu: Yes Kids menu: Yes Cleanliness: Above average Restrooms: Clean MyFitnessPal: No Parking: lot shared with small strip mall - usually not a problem. More across the street.

The staff are very friendly. The food was terrible. The salsa taste like spaghetti sauce, the Carne Asade was not skirt steak and the portions were small. I understand that times are tough and restaurants are having a tough time staying open but they could do better. I want to like this place but I just can't.

This place was absolutely wonderful. First of all my husband ordered the fajitas meal and they accidentally made the meal as a double meal because on their menu they have a fajitas for two meal that cost $40. They told us keep the extra fajita meal on them cuz they made it by mistake. They were so nice to my son who is 4 and very ambitious and talkative LOL. The waitress even gave him a dollar to put in the toy machine to get something when he was done eating. And then stop this all off she brought over a dessert plate with these 3 crispy tortilla flauta things with whip cream and chocolate glaze and a cherry to go on top. It was an absolutely lovely meal. And we will go back and do it again soon. My husband even took a photo for laughs! ??? THANKS LA PALMA FOR MAKING OUR NIGHT OUT SO MEMORABLE! THAT'S WHAT ITS ALL ABOUT! SEE YOU SOON AMIGOS ADIOS FOR NOW! YENNIFER.

When my wife wants to dine with Mexican food, we usually wind up here. Burritos, enchiladas, chimichangas are what I usually order here and they do a nice job with these menu item.

Ordered two dinners on DoorDash paid for two orders received only one. When only one dinner came we reordered from Mis Tres Amigos so we could eat together and amazing enough we received what we paid for two orders.

I'm not sure why my review didn't post.I will not be wasting my money here again. Ordered fajitas @$22 and got this dry meat replacement instead. YOU SHOULDN'T BE STEALING YOUR CUSTOMERS MONEY IF YOU WANT TO KEEP THERE BUSINESS!!! VERY UPSET!?

I've never been to a mexican restaurant before that didn't know how to make nachos correctly so all the toppings don't fall off when you pick up a chip.To say I was disappointed would be a massive understatement. To assist whoever made mine:Cheese on the bottom to bind to the chip, meat, then beans, cilantro then guacamole & sour cream dallops on top of that.

Last night, I was holiday shopping with my mother and aunt. It was close to 8 pm and from the backseat, my mom Googled dine in restaurants still open that sounded good. We decided on La Palma since they'd be open until 10:30 pm. We passed this place for years but never stopped in. I'm glad we did. Upon arriving, the sign on the door said they were only open until 9 pm. My aunt walked in to verify. They waved us in and told us to stay as long as we liked! The environment was bright, colorful and cheerful. Not to mention one of the cleanest restaurants I've ever been to. No dust on the ceiling lights, no crumbs on the floor, or any dust residue on the fake plants. The staff was extremely attentive and friendly. Some of the best service we've ever received to be honest and there were only two of them for ten customers. They were just as charming and doting when it was 9:45 and we were still finishing up. The food was tasty and fresh and the free tortilla chips were always refreshed with warm ones. The salsa was a bit heavy on chili powder but still good. The chicken chimichanga needed some kind of sauce to balance out the wee dryness but was still delicious. We look forward to returning.

The service was bad and the food was even worse. We couldn't get our server to come and take our order. She would come up to the the table behind us and turn go the other way. Tried to get her attention several times to no avail. We ordered guacamole with our chips, absolutely no flavor. Chips tasted like they came from the grocery store. My husband ordered chorizo and eggs, one of his favorites. When our food came I took one look at his chorizo and it looked awful. I took one taste to see if I liked it, I could barely get that one bite down. My husband will eat anything but even he had a hard time eating it. He tried but couldn't even eat half of it. He normally cleans his plate when he orders chorizo. I ordered combo #9 which had 1 beef enchilada and 1 beef taco with beans and rice. The ground beef in both items had a strange taste so I ate one bite of my enchilada and a couple bites of my taco. We won't be going back. Go to Mazaltan mexican restaurant in lakewood, service and food 100% better.

We really enjoy coming to La Palma's! Food and service are both excellent! The wait staff are very accommodating, and also knowledgeable about the menu offerings. Always expect to have a great experience here!
