Highly recommend pollack soup and rice soupThe pollack soup is really refreshing. There is no taste of seasoning at all.The meat in the soup is very soft.I think they select the parts that taste good and use them. It's absolutely delicious. The owner is very kind and makes a great impression. It's a comfortable and comfortable place, like eating a home-cooked meal.

레이크우드/타코마에서 모둠 순대국밥을 먹을 수 있는 것 자체만으로도 항상 감사하게 생각합니다.The fact that I can even have a hot boiling bowl of modeum soondae gukbap (Korean style blood sausage soup and all other mixed pig parts, such as pig's head meat with scalding white rice) in occupied Turtle Island makes me very grateful. The milky-white soup tasted quite clean and was not as gamy or meaty as other soondae gukbaps I've experienced. There was a generous serving of both chopped up soondae and pork. The gukbap also included three types of kimchi, and as someone with a sensitive tongue who reacts poorly to Korean meals that include too much msg, I appreciated Samwon's usage of minimal msg!!!I hope Samwon serves salted shrimp with their gukbaps, and I recommend trying their soondae plate and teriyaki~!

I used to go here once or twice a week for the soondae gook or sullungtang. Banchan is not as good nor plentiful as other local places. But the soup is good. Then why the one star review? I haven't been there in over a year. Here's why - a Korean place should NEVER charges for extra rice - particularly to someone who frequents your business once or twice a week. So you got your extra $2. But you will not get my business again. Plenty of other places to eat in Lakewood

I bought Korean Soondae sausage to go, it was made fresh in the store - fresh and delicious. If you like authentic Korean food, this is the place!

We stopped in and while the exterior says dive the inside is very clean and well maintained. You can see the clean kitchen when you order. Tried the Gyoza, Sesame Chicken, Mongolian Beef and Sweet and Sour Chicken. The Sweet and Sour Chicken was good and so was the Sesame Chicken. The Goyza and the Mongolian Beef were outstanding. Especially the Mongolian Beef served on a crispy bed of rice noodles and the taste was full and balanced. Goyza was perfectly done and no taste of oil and served in a little boat with the sauce (mmm ginger). No kids menu but order and share. Order extra Nd take some home! Service: excellent, slight wait as food is made if it's busy (and it is busy at times) Cleanliness: Very clean Kids menu: no MyFitnessPal: no Restroom: yes but only use if you need. Very clean but you need to ask as it is around back in the kitchen

Food is delicious, looks like a run down korean restaurant, but its one of those places "Dont judge a book by its cover!" The owner isn't super friendly but not rude. Atmosphere can use a total makeover, not a very inviting spot plus there's only like 5 tables. Overall if you're not obsessed with a how a restaurant looks and only going purely for good authentic koreanfood (taste) this is a spot you must tryParking: They've got parking in front of the restaurant and the side

Food was Delicious! Had the kalbi beef. Very clean! It's definitely one of those hidden gems that from the outside doesn't look like anything. Service was very nice.

It has been a while since I have been here. Decided to come here for a quick dinner. They have Teriyaki and Chinese wok style cuisine, as well as Korean food. The Korean food is listed in Korean...so unless you ask questions, you may not know what you're ordering. In the past I have tried the Bulgogi, which is good and comes with banchan--but a little pricey. This time around we chose Mongolian Beef and Teriyaki Chicken with Gyoza. The Mongolian Beef was not good. I didn't care for the sauce, the meat was chewy, and the styrofoam noodles were rancid--and there were a lot of them! The actual portion size was pretty small. The salad on the plate with the Teriyaki and Gyoza was big chunk of lettuce with a giant glob of dressing--pretty unappealing. Service was mediocre. There were flies buzzing around as we ate. I think we are the only Americans in here right now. Pretty busy for dinner. Not really sure that we would return, better places in the area. Overall 2.5 rating.

My wife and I were out without kids and we thought we would try something new. We like all kinds of Asian food, but we have very limited exposure to Korean food although Tacoma has sort of a Korea town zone along South Tacoma Way, where we have seen Korean Restaurants. Anyway we turned to Yelp to find a place open for lunch. We guided to a place off the main drag to a teriyaki place that also said Korean. They had a menu board with the teriyaki stuff in English and the selections under Korean selections were all in Korean, fortunately they also had paper take out menus in English. Anyway we ordered our stuff: pork bigolbi and spicey beef soup. I thought both were nice, I don't know if it was authentic, but we were the only people there that were not speaking Korean. It seemed the others were enjoying their meals too. We will have to try some more places, but now I going with a 4, the food tasted good, the service was fast, the price was reasonable, there was a good flow of customers for lunch.

The gomtang here is super satisfying! The broth is clean and they give lots of beef. It reminded me of my mom's homemade version. Not the most modern ambience but it's almost better to have something a bit run down when you're slurping down some hearty soup.

This place is unassuming but delicious! Don't trust the menus online, they've since updated their prices and eliminated the lunch specials. :( Otherwise, the staff is kind and friendly, and the food is very good! We called in an order to-go, but I did spy ban-chan on a table, so I would like to come back and dine in!
