I drive truck locally and, in the past, would stop by and get a couple of my favorite donuts. Today is my last visit.I will say their donuts are good although donut size and variety have shrunk. In the last couple of years, they have added a surcharge if you use debit for less than $5 or $6. I fundamentally disagree with this as they are charging plenty for their donuts. Today however, I stopped by at 6:15am for my usual 2 donuts and found they hadn't even made one of the kinds I like. "Ok. No biggie, I'll have one of my other favs". I produce my debit card and watch her ring it up, hesitate, then while pointing at a sign by her register, she says I have to spend a minimum of $6. I should just walked out donut-less but I figured I'd do one better and post this. Debit fees are a cost of doing business people and the world is going cashless so you better catch up to the times. So long Variety Donuts. You're out of the circle (pun intended).

The place is a little small but the prices are good and the doughnuts even better. I absolutely love the small non chain bakeries.

Variety Donuts satisfied my recent craving for light and fluffy donuts~!!! (Sorry @ dense donuts…)When I arrived, the lady apologized and told me that I would have to wait a little before I could start picking out my donuts because she and, I believe, her husband were flipping freshly made donuts. I didn't mind because it was still early in the morning, and the overall atmosphere at the donut shop felt cozy because other donut enthusiasts were bonding with their families and friends while eating donuts. When I was able to choose my donuts, I had a hard time choosing the last few for the mixed dozen, so I asked the lady if she could choose the rest, and thank goodness I did because they were delicious~!!!I also asked the lady if the donut shop accepts Apple Pay, and she said yes, so for those like me who prefer to use Apple Pay as a payment option, you should be able to do so at Variety Donuts.

I believe there was a donut shop here previously but the ownership changed. I feel like it may have been an improvement as Steve and I were very highly impressed with the half dozen of donuts that we ordered. We also got a cinnamon roll that was separate from the half dozen. All the donuts we got were great as well as the cinnamon roll! The blueberry, the chocolate frosted, and the coconut donuts I fondly remember. Definitely going back but perhaps next time it will be a full dozen than a half of one... not that I need a further excuse to get more donuts! Very good experience!

I have a 9 out of 10 gluten intolerance, a crumb of wheat would destroy me. But I can eat these no problem. It is hard to make a claim to say they are gluten free, but they passed my test easily. I eat a few dozens a week. Its family owned and ran. they are hardworking. The baking area is also used for some of their non gluten donuts, so for celiacs I wouldnt try, unless you dare.. The donuts are light and fluffy. not overcoated with sugar. its amazing how they make gluten free donuts look and have texture like regular donuts. great prices. maple and chocolate bar, twists, glaze, raspberry filled, custard , strawberry, apple fritter, cinnamon twistParking: easy parkingKid-friendliness: they are a good familyWheelchair accessibility: the ramp is two buildings to the right and not steep. very flat.

Lady was rude and donuts were terrible. I would think they would be fresh at 6:30am, however they crumbled every time i took a bite and tasted stale. Way too expensive also. Will not be coming back here.

They may look like ordinary average doughnuts but upon the first bite you realize there's something special in the process they use. The dough is so light and airy it melts in your mouth!

Wet and doughy. I took 3 bites and then threw them away. These might be the worst donuts I've ever had.

The donuts are good but the lady behind the counter is rude it seems like she doesn't like her job at all, she doesn't even greet her customers when they come in. She rang me up and gave me the total for the donuts but I had to add some hot beverages for my husband and my kids but she keep sighing as she was adding it and she wanted to charge $3 each for a small cup of hot choco and it's clearly stating on her menu list that a small cup are $2. I wanted to say something to her but I didn't wanna embarrass her infront of other customers. Too bad because we like coming here.

Amazing doughnuts! I gave this place a shot when Krispy Kreme was too crowded for me to wait. I was really craving for doughnuts with my coffee on this particular day and came across Variety Doughnuts. I bought a dozen and they were delicious! They barely lasted a day in the kitchen. The buttery twists were incredible and literally melted in my mouth. Although Krispy Kreme is my fave, Variety Doughnuts are in a close running. I would add if you’re paying in cash not to use bills over $20. There is also a fee for using a credit card for purchases under $10. Other than that, Variety Doughnuts should be given a try by any doughnut lover!

Went here for my boss, but the lady that's talked about in the other reviews is so rude. Why is it so hard for me to order the food without being made to feel bad for ordering it? My boss even warned me the lady who works here is rude
