Took a day ride to Leavenworth from Carnation and while trying to decide on lunch, happened to see the menu for the Soup Cellar and decided to check it out. I asked the person at the register if they had any gluten free items and found out they did. We ordered the grilled onion burger and the BBQ burger along with a couple of beers. The food arrived quickly, and the burgers looked delicious. My wife's burger was huge and loaded with grilled onions and she said it was one of the best burgers she's ever had. I had the BBQ burger with grilled onions and a GF bun, and it was fantastic. The fries were perfect and there were so many we couldn't finish them. Not a high-end place but comfortable and the staff was very friendly. We'll definitely eat here again!Dietary restrictions: I asked about gluten free options, and he asked if I had gluten sensitivity and wanted to make sure they cleaned the grill and prep area accordingly while preparing my meal.

Stopped in for a quick bite to eat before the drive back to Bremerton and wanted a nice bowl of hot soup. Came across this place and figured the soup would be awesome since its called the 'Soup Cellar'.Didnt know this was cafeteria style where you order and pay and sit yourself anywhere you wish. Service practically nonexistent except at the register.Ordered a half sandwich and soup since I didnt want to be tired on the drive back. Turkey Delight Sandwich and Tomato Basil soup was decent, nothing that made me write home about. Soup didnt have that homestyle feel and wasnt what i had hoped for? Had to pick up the food at the counter and looked around for crackers since the soup didnt come with any on the tray. Cafeteria feels, ate my meal, put the tray back and went on my way. A generous 3 stars.

This is my second time at the soup cellar. I couldn’t wait to come back and have their split pea again! It was just as great as I remembered (from 3/4 years ago). I got half of a roast beef sandwich with it and it was awesome. My husband had a great bread bowel with split pea. The workers are all very very friendly. Definitely great to stop in and get something a bit more nutritious and cozy!We will have come back for the pretzel another day, it looked awesome!

I was really hoping for some good, homemade soup, but it was pretty bland and not that homemade taste I was looking for. It kind of reminded me of soup from a can or mass produced. It was okay at best.
