I tried them again. Nothing has changed. Regardless of whether it's Chicago style or not, it's just not very good.

Our foodie dreams come true this place is amazing, my Sarah and I both had a Chicago dog which was AMAZING. Had the beef sandwich also with sweet & hot peppers and I'm definitely coming back to try a burger and combo sandwiche. Service was excellent. We met Joe fantastic guy, the beef is his dad's recipe past down. We definitely will be back and we're coming from Sedro Woolley

I never said what day I was there and I meant to put employee not employees. It was an older man in his 50s that we saw come out after we heard the yelling. We were there about 4-430. Your response is rude, I give this place 6 months. Seems like a not fun place to work! No one should ever yell at their employees.

I could not wait to try the Italian beef sandwich. I was not disappointed! I ordered it dry as it was a take out order. The fries were crispy and the milkshake was amazing. Thank you Taylor for accommodating my last minute request for extra juice to go. Very friendly staff! This Chicago girl was very happy! IYKYK!

Slightly Overpriced for what you receive, sub par carnival type food. I will say the milkshakes were very good. We tried almost everything on the menu as it was our first time there. We gave it the old college try but it's a pass for me.

Look here: I was born and raised in Chicago for a big majority of my life. The food in and around Chicago is famous and known worldwide. However... the recreations outside of that city are extremely rare, especially by local family owned businesses. Chicago Joes recreates two things: The looks and feels of home. The hot dog is actually an authentic Chicago dog, dragged thru the garden and with an actual poppy seed bun. The placards are like windows peering into the bustling city. The Italian Beef has the all flavors, and while it's not 100% BUT grandfathered in... it's still good! It's hard to re-create the recipes from home like Johnnie's Beef on Harlem or Buona Beef because they've been at it for generations! And then the flags and sports memorabilia hung around, even the Old Style beer one, remind you of the iconic stadiums throughout the city. Joe is very brave for bringing these dishes out here to the PNW. It's definitely a big responsibility for people from the 606 to bear. But I'm glad he's doing it and I'm going to keep supporting his business and enjoying some delicious, unique food. Thanks for the good times Joe! Hold the ketchup.

Absolutely incredible find while up in Lynden. In an unsuspecting spot directly on the Guide Meridian, I discovered arguably the best sandwich spot in Whatcom County. The Italian beef sandwich was as legit as they come, and the owner was nice enough to talk to me about the process as he brought out my food. No words for how good the Italian beef sandwich is. It was perfect. 10/10.

We both got the Chicago Dog special and were blown away with how delicious everything was, even down to fry sauce. Service was super friendly too! We only wish there was more!

Have you ever had a sudden craving for a chili cheese dog? You picture it in your mind: a plump hot dog smothered in delicious chili, melted cheddar cheese and diced onions...YUM. If you DO crave one, do not go to Chicago Joe's. You will be quite disappointed. You get a strangely skinny hot dog, a spoonful of chili that barely has any flavor and a sprinkle of cheese and onions. Incredibly bland. You can eat it without making even the tiniest mess, so there's that. BUT, if you really want a good chili cheese dog, choose El Capitan's on Cornwall in Bellingham. They get it right. Honestly not sure how Chicago Joe's consider themselves a hot dog place. Two stars because at least the fries didn't suck.

Great food and great service! I love the atmosphere and ambiance of the restaurant, with their homage to Chicago, from photos to the dogs, you can't go wrong.

If you don't like the hotdogs here it's because you don't understand. The hotdogs here make all other hotdogs west of the Rockies insignificant. The service is good, the paraphernalia is spot on, the fries are inventive and yummy, but the Chicago style hotdogs are basically perfect, and if you don't like them, you're wrong.

Coming from the Greater Chicagoland area, I am ecstatic to have this place in Whatcom county. The Italian beef is delicious (dipped of course, but ask for it dry with a side of Au Jus if you don’t want it soggy). I am mild girardinara person, but they also have hot. The Chicago style hotdog is spot on.My husband had the burger and said it was the best burger he has had in 5 years. And you can get a beef combo - so that is amazing. Also got the wings- I always prefer wings dry and then the sauce on the side which is how they come.Decor is pretty spot on for an Italian beef place you would find in Chicago as well.

Expensive for what you get and my sandwich was soggy. The sausage was gross. The theme is cheezy, just a bunch of Chicago pictures slapped up on the walls. Not impressed.
