A warm and family-friendly atmosphere. Their BBQ beef is a must try. The waiter was so polite. The chief came by himself to introduce himself and check that we were satisfied with the food. Will certainly come again.

My husband and I had a delicious lunch today prepared by Chef Sombat. He has earned Michelin stars in Thailand. I ordered the Pad Thai; his signature dish. It was outstanding and abundant. My husband loved his chicken with orange sauce. He came out to see if we enjoyed our entrees and was so friendly. We learned that he worked on Holland America Cruise Line between Seattle and Alaska for two years before becoming chef at Pon Proem. They have Uber Eats, take out, lunch and dinner. The Thai tea over ice was an excellent way to treat ourselves to something special before our meals arrived. It's like dessert before the meal!

Absolutely authentic, delicious, fresh and exciting. We randomly stopped in, as we don't live on Mercer Island, however, we will drive out here just for this delightful food.This place is all about the food. It's a small, intimate atmosphere which made me reminiscent of the many places I ate while traveling Asia. I felt right at home.We should have gotten the phad thai, it's the chefs signature dish. What we got was seriously tasty though. We had Larb Gai chicken salad which was fresh, bursting with herbs and tangy lime dressing. Chili fried rice and a phad prik sod with chicken. All meat was quality and cut very well with the freshest crunchy vegetables.Biggest bonus to this experience was the chef stopping by the table to ensure everything was good, thanking us for coming in and inviting us back. There aren't enough places like this.

Waited over 45 minutes for take out and only two tables were seated in the restaurant. Food had no flavor and beef was over cooked. The staff doesn’t smile or welcome you.

I've been having dinner here for many years and most recently last night. Their new chef is SPOT ON!! This is a quiet/quaint Thai restaurant which for me is what I want. Relaxing and to top it off the food is amazing! Started with the Tom Kah Gai soup which is our favorite, delicious! Just the right touch of lemon grass. Next up, Green Curry with their signature bamboo shoots. Very nice!! Also had the...wait for it, Chicken Pad Thai which I'd match head to head with any other in the land! If you're on The Rick stop by and you will not be disappointed.

We had avoided Pon Proem for sometime because the food quality had really suffered. We were pleasantly surprised when we ordered take out the other night. The food was excellent and we look forward to returning! So glad they have a new chef!!

I stopped by for lunch with my son this past week. I have been eating at Pon Proem for over 25 years. I can say without reservation that this is the best chef they have had yet. He was impressive in his desire to meet the guests, make sure everything was to their satisfaction, and thank them. The quality of the food was terrific, especially for the price. Thank you, Chef Sombat! I will be back!
