For being the only bar on Mercer Island, it’s not a bad option. The food slightly overpriced but fine, the atmosphere is lively and the service is good for the most part. I’ve been there three times and only once was the waitress a bit unhelpful. I asked for the price of two different whiskey drinks to which the waitress responded “I dunno” and a young waiter walking behind her said “who cares? This is Mercer island”. I guess that’s what you get from privileged Gen Z kids who haven’t payed their way through life yet lol . Other than that, the bartender is awesome and Brett was very helpful. It’s worth going to if you live on the island and want a bar setting.

Nothing spectacular but what a nice place to go on my way home from skiing. The service can be a bit slow but if you're just chilling it's totally fine.I always get the chili and honestly it kinda slaps.

Found this place 30+ years ago, still has charm and great food. Miss the pool table in the room too small through. Great place to watch the game. Great taps...

Nice throwback bar. A plate of fries was the only thing I had, but they were tasty.

Love this homey, neighborhood bar and grill. Plenty of parking in back and great friendly service. All the famous hits like nachos, French dip, sandwiches etc. and a nice variety of taps.

I suspect that Mercer Island residents love this place; it's probably an institution. I have been twice at this place. The food is mediocre at best. I had tacos Carne asada and I ate them only because our friends who were at the table with us like this place (they are long-term Mercer Island residents and must have some fond memories associated with this place). The bun on a Buffalo burger was so soggy that you couldn't even touch it. I get the appeal of the place, my friend loves iceberg lettuce. And for people who love the Seattle 80s fare, this food must seem great. I don't like iceberg lettuce, I don't like white bread you can roll into a dime size roll. This restaurant is not for me. And service was not that great either.

Authentic old school restaurant & bar with tasty food, friendly staff and vintage decor. The vibe is comfy and the menu is value oriented. Worth a visit.

I hesitate to post this glowing review because the Roanoke Inn is a hidden gem. However, the food, adult beverages, service, and atmosphere are all top-notch.There is plenty of seating inside and outside. It’s a solid & tasty menu. The servers are fun and personable.Propane heaters keep you warm when seated outside…along with a couple of shots of whiskey. There are plenty of TVs with sports both inside and outside. The structure itself is now 110 years old!The only downside is when it is packed inside and the beers are flowing it gets very loud. Sometimes it’s hard to hear the person seated across from you. That’s just part of the fun atmosphere.Parking: There is enough parking if people carpool. However, during the good weather parking can be scarce.

Real basic, paid almost $20 for a salad that was the size of an appetizer, had three pieces cut off a chicken breast on it. Over all I could have purchased the ingredients for less at the store, not really worth the price if you ask me nor was or anything really special. Great local spot but really expensive for very basic food/service and drinksParking: Parking can fill fast
