Sweet local spot for tulip season wanderings :) Prepare for a wait - and note they don't have buzzers or a call list, they call your party name aloud so gotta stay near - but there's a cute antique store around the corner and a country shop attached. Food is pretty good, baked goods are especially great!! Cozy atmosphere, always look forward to stopping here.

This morning at 7:30 A.M. a heavyset bleach-blonde parked right next to me and went into the cafe. About 10 minutes later two police cruisers arrived, then a third, and informed me I had been trespassed from the place. I pointed out that I was on a public street with 3 hour parking. The officer verified the accuracy of my statement, then consulted with the restaurant staff. He returned to inform me that I was being trespassed anyway.If I'd been doing something wrong or offensive or annoying I'd understand, but I was in the backseat of the car and on my phone...I find it ridiculous, pathetic and absurd that I was trespassed from their property in spite of being on public property at the time, and can only assume that it is due to some naive elitist arrogance...I've never been in the restaurant, and never intended to go anyway. It's way too trendy and trying too hard to be Portland/Seattle hip. I'm kind of bothered by the principal of the thing. The officers were cool about it though and explained that they (Calico Cupboard) had the right to trespass anyone for any reason (or for no reason, as the case may be.)Parking: Park on the public road nearby or in the parking lots labeled "for Calico Guests only". Make sure your a guest if you use their parking lots though. You might get towed or trespassed otherwise!

Wow! What a disappointment. We used to have the best experiences here but because of COVID and other events, haven't been there in over 2 years. The overall food quality seems to have gone down quite a bit. We ordered the salmon Benedict on biscuits and butternut squash hash with extra bacon and a two soft eggs on top. Our other two family members also ordered two other hashes. The food arrived warm to cold. Strange because we were seated within 10 minutes so the place was busy but not frantic. The waitress was friendly but very busy and seemed to move on to other tables almost before we were finished speaking so maybe they are short-staffing. The salmon on the salmon Benedict was salty (it was wild-caught) and the biscuit tasted like it had too much baking powder / soda. My butternut squash hash was pretty good but the potatoes were mushy (not crispy) and the dish was just warm (not hot). Our family guests were very disappointed as their plates were served cold - another possible indication that the management is short-staffing and so food is getting left at pick-up for too long after the cooks have prepared the plates. I hope that Calico can turn this around and get back to quality versus quantity again. We probably will not go back for a long time.Parking: There is a lot of parking but the main area is almost always full. There is more parking across the side-street.

I went with my Partner here while visiting the Tulip farms and it was amazing. I was impressed by how upbeat everyone was despite a being super busy. The food was great and surprisingly got it out fast. I recommend their turkey sandwiches!!!

how cute is this place! I stopped by when visiting the tulips and this place is the cutest! You can dine in or just grab items from their bakery! we got a cinnamon roll, artichoke and pesto sandwich, snowball coffee which was so good, and a cream puff. the cream puffs are so huge I was so surprised. when we were checking out the lady was so sweet offering us napkins and utensils that I didn't even think of grabbing when leaving with all our bakery items. would love to come back.
Great food, great atmosphere, a bit of a wait but you can shop around the adjoining antique store while you wait and it was definitely worth the wait.

Went to have brunch with my sisters. Food was delicious but I also ordered a caramel nut cinnamon roll to go. Which I clearly pointed at the menu. I don’t know how they messed that up in the order. They brought me a latte instead I told the waitress that I ordered the caramel nut she took the coffee back. Came back with another drink and walked away. My sisters and I were shocked. I don’t know how u could possibly get a drink and a roll mixed up.
