A friend and I decided we wanted some good take out food instead of the usual pizza we always get for ourselves and the kids. We wanted to treat us right. The food was out of this world. I've eaten at a lot of top restaurants over the years, and Cynara is high on my list of favorites. Some friends think it's a little expensive, but once you take your first bite you'll know that it's worth every penny. And no. I don't work for this restaurant.Dietary restrictions: Can get most plates gluten free and that's awesome

This is the best restaurant in Olympia, by far. The food is excellent and unlike any other venue in town, the servers are knowledgeable and efficient, and the atmosphere pleasant and welcoming. Try it before going to another of your same old places for the same old boring fare. Cynara does it all very well!

We came here for a glass of wine, but I would love to come back for dinner. Our waitress was very friendly and we loved being able to soak up the sun on their patio. Fun location where you can see the dock too.

Best happy hour in town!

Loved every bit of our evening here. Yes it's pricey but our food and service was as good as it gets. Everything was perfect. Ribeye was cooked perfectly and the duck with cherry sauce was amazing.

The food here is fantastic, as are the cocktails. It's a warm, classy yet casual vibe, with great service and is the kind of place you can always count on for friendly, impeccable service and delicious food. The kitchen knows what it's doing! Same for the bartenders. Cynara always impresses. It's perfect for special occasions, and a no-brainer for taking friends from out of town, yet also fine to come as you are for a quick meal and drink. They have an excellent happy hour, and comfortable outdoor seating, too. And did I mention their desserts? You'll definitely want to leave room for that!

First time visit. Our server, Jamie, was understated elegance. She understood the menu, made appropriate suggestions. The fried artichokes were so delicious, we nearly decimated the appetizer before taking a picture of it.

Delicious! We visited for lunch and our server Kristy was so efficient and kind. Very comfortable seating which is important since I was lunching with my Mom. Get the mushroom soup - you won’t regret it! Overall a pleasant mix on the menu of comfort and unique.Only thing I would suggest is that they would benefit from a few more non-alcoholic drink options. All the beautiful glassware is going to waste at lunchtime.Vegetarian options: Not very vegan
