Expensive. Not impressed with the food quality. I have gotten a better meal at a dollar Chinese place. Firm Meh for this place.

Changed a lot of things, dinner combos and whatnot. Also raised prices... again. It's just not worth $110 for a dinner for three.

I got there shortly before closing so it was busy but not too bad. My server was very nice, and helpful in making suggestions as I was looking to order something different from my usual, and her suggestion was spot on, so the dinner was delicious. Overall it was a great

Great food, the combination family dinner was a little pricey but was very good, lots of fried food. Decor tired and slightly old and musty smelling. Nice servers!

The food here is very good, and the staff always welcoming. Don't let the low rating keep you away. Before tonight, it had been close to a year since we'd last dined here. In the past my husband and I both agreed that everything was cooked and presented well enough, but completely lacked flavor. However, on a whim, my husband went there for lunch earlier this week and told me it was really good this time, as if maybe it was a different kitchen staff. So he suggested we go again tonight to see what I thought, and I'm happy to report that he was right. It all tasted as good as it looked, and it looked darn good! So good that I even forgot to take pictures because we dug in so fast! Everything had plenty of flavor and the portions were generous. I had the #11, which was General Tso's chicken, almond chicken, pork fried rice, and a spring roll. My husband had the #1, which was pork egg foo yung, chicken chow mein, sweet-and-sour pork, and pork fried rice. Both combos included soup, which tonight was creamy potato and chicken. We'd never had that before, but I hope to have it again! It was perfect on a cold winter evening. Honestly, every dish was delicious. The General Tso's in particular was excellent, but for sure I'd order either combo (or anything else!) again. The hostess deserves a mention as well, because she was friendly and efficient, setting the tone for the rest of the meal. This place definitely deserves better than the two stars it currently has, so if you haven't been in a while, give it another chance! You won't regret it.

Ever wonder what it would be like to live in an alternate reality where Chinese food was used to torture unsuspecting diners? Look no further than Emperor's Palace! First of all, I thought about giving this place 2 stars instead of 1 because the service is actually good. The servers and front of the house staff are always friendly and attentive but the food alone makes it 1 star. Now let's talk about the real reason we all go out to eat - the food. If you could travel back to the 1980's, eat a bunch of that Chinese food (think bland lo-mein and canned crispy chow mein noodles), return to the 2020's and barf that food up onto a plate, this is the type of cuisine you'll find at Emperor's Toilet. The food here is just weird. As someone who appreciates good Chinese Food (i.e. Szechuan First in Renton) this is NOT it. For example, I ordered the "Emperor's Crispy Beef"... now let me explain the flavor. Take a bottle of ketchup, pour it over some deep fried beef gristle, toss it with some cinnamon, bread it, deep fry it again then pour some more ketchup and cinnamon on it, scoop up 5 lbs of this mess and serve it with no garnish, no passion, no love and voila! Emperor's Crispy Beef. Seriously, what is this stuff? I think Katie S. says it best in her 10/16/2022 review when she says "Seriously, your moth will thank you if you get the almond chicken but..." Yes Katie, we can all agree that the only thing eating the almond chicken should be our pet moths. It has an odd flavor that only a moth would love. I've been to Emperor's Yuck Mouth a few times actually, hoping that the last trip was a fluke but I'm stunned by the mix of bland and odd-flavored food. I always wonder how this place is still in business - is it a money laundering front? Are they making a killing at the bar or pull tabs? Is it the steady flow of senior citizens eating dinner at 3 pm? Not quite sure but one thing is true, this is NOT good Chinese food and Olympia deserves much better. I hate to be so harsh in a review but this place needs to change. P.S. If you find yourself here, trapped, feeling alone, isolated and worried about what might be served, do yourself a favor and order the fish and chips.
