Ran over to get lunch sandwiches on a Friday. I haven't been to Johnson's for a while and I always forget about their amazing selection of meats and also grocery items. I ordered an Italian and a Ruben sandwich to go. While I waited I perused the store. I was happily surprised to see English style bangers and Spanish style Chorizo. Two sausages that are hard to find in the South Sound area. Their produce also looked really good. It might be a little more expensive than a big grocery chain, but it looked so fresh and good, I may head there first to see what they have before the big box trip. I liked the Italian sandwich which was filled with their own salami, ham, and pepperoni, but I wish it was more flavorful. It could have used some additional salt, pepper, and vinaigrette. I really enjoyed the Reuben. There was plenty of corned beef, sauerkraut, and dressing. Will definitely go back for the Rueben.

Very nice selection of jerky, sausage, steak, and chicken. Their food counter had a good variety of hot dogs and sandwiches. The Kraut Dog and homemade potato salad were my favorites.

Stopped in on a whim while out driving. Picked up some teriyaki beef jerky; has a smoked flavor on top of the teriyaki and it was really good. There were locals there who the staff seemed familiar with so it has a true neighborhood store vibe. I plan to go back to pick up some items from their butchers and get more jerky.

I love Johnson's. We got a ham for Christmas, delicious. Get pizza from there, delicious. Always pick up more than what I originally go there for. Their meats are always good. My husband and I even get a bratwurst or sandwich from their sandwich bar occasionally. They have all been good. The service is always great.
