“First visit to my fiancé's hometown. I have been hearing about this spot and especially their root beer on tap for quite a while. Everything delivered. Great food at a reasonable price. Club sandwich was solid. Shrimp and chips were awesome. I failed to get the bar tenders name (petite brunette) , but damn she hustled. Handled the bar and the room (drink and food orders) with ease. A true professional. Friendly and a great attitude. Open kitchen allowed me to watch the food being prepared. Great cook who handled everything with ease and proper standards and systems. I am an executive chef, so I know a thing or two about kitchens and restaurants. (wink)It was nice to see all of the personal touches from the regulars (signed dollar bills, license plates, photos, etc.) Can't wait to return. “My wife had a craving for corned beef and cabbage, and cooking it at home was not an option so we decided to try this place. It was packed, even though it was a Tuesday night. There seemed to be a lot of regulars, but we had no problem being welcomed to a table. People were having fun, the food was very good, and the prices were extremely reasonable. We'll be back.“
