We go there sometimes after soccer..I will give it 3 stars because their service is not consistent one day it is good other days bad at best. They do however serve free tortillas when you get a table just slow showing up with something to wash it down with..from time to time. However the food is good.Update 04/22/2024Service was great the waitress was attentive and quick and the food was really good .. the street tacos were excellent ?

No, you will not be able to eat there if someone in your party forget their ID. Even if you don’t sit by the bar. Even if your table does order drinks. No, your international government issued ID will not be recognized. So make sure to tell your international friends to bring their passport. (Canadian ID is fine)I’ve never seen any RESTAURANT that enforces a 21 yo policy like this. The restaurant was half empty and they are still telling large group of customers to leave because of ID. ?

Grabbed dinner with a close friend [to catch up] and they were adamant on this particular location- while at first I was reluctant [we both live more North and commute south to Redmond] afterwords I understood why. Everything about the experience proved to be a memorable experience [which catching up with a good friend can also contribute to]: despite having not the most ideal seats [high bar tables] due to the business at the particular time we went [~7:30 pm]; the environment, food, and service quickly quenched any distaste. I remember making a mental note of seeing how the waiters/waitresses interacted with one another in between making their rounds and how it acts as a testament of the apparent good environment- they appear to genuinely enjoy their jobs which in turn makes the experience all the more enjoyable. Long story short, I can now see why Matador is my friends' favorite restaurant!

My friend and I came in, not expecting much but we had such a great time!!! We found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try. Our server’s name was Jay and she was so nice and attentive. We asked her a bunch of questions about the tequila they offered and she was very knowledgeable. Love that she would come and drop off more napkins and extras without us having to ask. The other girls there were cute and friendly as well. Even though it was pretty busy when we went in, we were taken care of and I would definitely come back next time I’m in town. Thanks Jay!!

The Matador at Redmond is a great option for Mexican food. Most of the bartenders are really nice and friendly. There is one particular waitress that needs to improve her quality in terms of her service. Like she is burnt out doesn’t care about her presentation. When I order food, it is always right on time and no delays. I would recommend it but it is 21+ so no kids.

Let's just say, the only two great things about this place was the restaurant interior design and the music. My partner and I are new to the area and decided to give this place a shot. Dang, I should have read the reviews carefully about this place beforehand because we had a similar experience as what most complaints have stated. I have to say, there was some major unprofessionalism from the staff and really terrible customer service. Once we were seated, our waitress took a long while to ask for our drinks. We saw other parties being seated after us and they were served super quickly. After a while more, we were about to leave until our waitress finally came and did not apologize. The food was not great which was surprising because their menu seemed to present some extremely great food but we were wrong. And I was charged $2.00 for a SMALL and I mean a SMALL side of ranch. That was a bit alarming! My partner and I decided that we are not visiting this place again. And to the general manager, or whoever writes responses back on these reviews, don't worry about writing a response back after I've seen your responses to others with no empathy or professionalism. Come on now! Do better!

Ribeye skillet Fajita: steak/pepper overcooked and burned which tasted bitter.Petite tender: nice special dish, I liked the viniger sauce on the sprouts.

We arrived almost at happy hour time, they have some discounts so the waitress suggests us to wait a couple of minutes. We appreciate that. The place has a very good atmosphere, music not loud enough that it’s comfortable to talk, the food didn’t took much to be ready, we tried the red sangria fro drinking, and I must say it was really good.
